I visited this park three times on this most recent trip to Sapporo. I also visited this park on a prior trip to Sapporo. Both trips happened to be in the fall. This park was absolutely spectacular every time I visited. The colors were amazingly vibrant. I really like how there's a pond here with little streams running throughout the park. It seems that many locals visit this park with their dogs and to attend events at the halls that are found around this park. There's a little shop in the park that serves a variety of snacks, ice cream and beer. It was really nice to stop at that shop to grab a snack and a drink while sitting under the fall colors. I'll definitely be returning, possibly in another season to visit this park.

The public park has a bit of everything from beautiful trees, ponds, creeks, museum, athletic center, observatory etc. We were fortunate to be there on November 7, during which fall foliage was getting peak, albeit late this year 2023. The park is full of vibrant red, orange and yellow colors. Ginkgo leaves are all yellow on tree branches as well as on ground like a carpet. Maple leaves around the pond are also turning orange and brightly red, mingled with green willows and pines. The park is not crowded, we can stroll around tranquilly. It is strongly recommended for visitors to Sapporo to add Nakajima park on the itinerary.

Upon arrival at CTS International Airport on May 7, 2018, I sought advice from the Tourist Information Centre there. Nakajima Park was the only place that sakura blossoms chasers like me would still be delighted with the sights. I wasted no time to get there to capture the last sakura blossoms in Japan 2018！ Postscript On Sunday, February 10, 2019, at Sapporo’s Snow Festival’s Susukino site, I saw a promo that the Garden would light up for the last time that night. I seized the opportunity to go and see it as I did rowing at its lake months ago. The little lights put up there did drive away some darkness!

MAGICAL! Sapporo has a very unique, spectacular and perfectly maintained park! It's big and various, with lots of different trees, plants, ponds, tiny bridges, many benches. I was there one morning at the beginning of November 2022, it was very quite with few people - mostly photographers, both professional and amateurs - people walking dogs, others bringing their child for a fresh walk and people just sitting on a bench reading the newspaper. Lovely! I took some nice pictures with my new Pixel 7 Pro. I think there's a public restroom as always Japanese people do. Definitely recommended!
