Train tickets and dining brought us to this ultra busy, 9-level hub of a complex. TRAIN: For English language assistance, head to the Visitor Information desk. As you enter the main doors, head straight in, stay to your left and look for a sundry store on the left. The desk is oddly located inside the shop in the back left corner. They assisted us with local tickets (to Otaru) and on the shinkansen (bullet train) to Tokyo. SHOPPING: 5 levels of shop till you drop clothing selections. The Daimaru department store connects to this building as well. DINING: 2 levels of eateries and restaurants of varying cuisines and dining styles. We had a so-so lunch at Ichiniisan. OVERALL: The heartbeat of Sapporo.

There are some new stores opened today and it’s quite crowded with people on the first floor. What I can’t realize is that there are some people wearing suits or looked like boss? just standing at there with their arm crossed. Sometimes they talked to the person next to him and pointed here, pointed there, which made me reall uncomfortable and offended. What’s more, they were standing at in front of the road, so other people can’t crossed smoothly ( remember it’s already crowded ) I don’t know, can’t they wait until people getting less or at least say “Excuse me” when people crossed by them? I felt that I’m not supposed to be there and shopping at there.

This is one of the best places to shop in Sapporo. Conveniently connected to the JR station, the mall offers a decent variety of things. I suggest getting Hokkaido souvenirs at one of the stores. The shop offers a wide variety of snacks. The prices are the same everywhere in Hokkaido. There is also a courier service in the shop. You cannot possibly miss the shop.

With paseo east this huge underground mall is a must see when you visit sapporo. Located at 5 min walk from sapporo station. You don't need to go out in the cold weather to visit this huge mall. Everything is underground ;-) You can find many good stores and food restaurants.

massive place. every shop you could ever imagine. some you wouldn't. I even found a men's socks shop , this can be quite overwhelming at first as you can be there with tens of thousands of other people. don't worry, get amongst it
