Great way to learn about tochigi. The museum has a great presentation of the history of tochigi with an interactive theatre. The dolls are huge and will leave you in awe. Not too expensive to go in as well! Like 300...

好評の裏返しもあるのでそちらは後述として、グッズ購入だけなら入館料不要、そして入館料も複数割引対応あるようなので、事前に確認しておくとなおのこと安心かもしれません。 なお、割引無しの大人500円でも、結構見応えあります。最初に解説動画15分程度、視聴後館内を進んで上から山車を見下ろしたり、山車の解説や、山車を中心にした各地の祭（山車じゃない祭も一部あり）の紹介もあり、それでいて最初の視聴からトータルで20分から30分で見て回れるので、周囲の観光を楽しむ余裕もあって最適かと。 なお、冒頭で触れた裏返しでは、スペースの関係もあるのでしょうけど、動画視聴して上階にいったらもうそこで完結と、短すぎると感じる人もいるかもしれません。 また、駅からのアクセスは難しいほどではないものの、簡単でもなく。高齢者や子供連れが、駅から歩いてくると、夏の炎天下は厳しそう。 なお、当時他の見学者で、杖をつかれていたご高齢の方もいらっしゃったので、車は当然として、決して無理ではないです。
