山本有三ふるさと記念館

文豪山本有三（一八八七~一九七四)は、栃木町に生まれ、栃木尋常高等小学校に学びました。生家は、記念館に隣接する蔵造りの家といわれています。商人だった父に、呉服屋へ奉公させられながらも、勉学を志して上京し、文学の道に励みました。人間を愛し信じ、真実一路の人々を戯曲や小説に描き、人々に生きる力や勇気を与えて親しまれました。また、国会議員として国語国字の改革を断行し、生涯にわたって青少年...

栃木は｢蔵の街｣としてアピールしています。一時は、｢川越｣、｢佐原｣と積極的に連携して行こうとする動きもあったようです... 栃木の良いところは、｢作り物｣がない、ということです。他の街も同様だとは思いますが、この街は特にそう感じます。普通に人が暮らしている…わざとらしくないんです。JR栃木駅から北へ向かって30分「重要伝統的建造物群保存地区」までが蔵の街「栃木」の見どころとなります。この記念館は両毛線JR栃木駅と｢保存地区｣の間にあります。『路傍の石』や『女の一生』、『真実一路』　などの作品で有名な山本有三に関する貴重な展示がされいて、ファンにはたまらない記念館です。また周囲には、昔ながらの建築物が散在しており、散...

前を通りかかって、文女・歴女立ち寄り所という文字見ました。いや別に文女・歴女ってわけじゃないけど、・・・立ち寄ってまうやん。 こちら、200円（JAF割で180円）にしては、展示物の量が多い。あと、建物が古いので、建物自体の見物としても良いです。油断すると頭とか足とかぶつけますので注意です。 栃木市に来るたび山本有三さん関連のものを街中で見ますが、未だに読んだことがありません。こちらの記念館で、米百俵というのが気になったので、次来るまでに読もうと思います。
