During our family’s tour in the Kuranomachi area, we had to wait for the next boat service, so we decided to spend some time having snacks and coffee/tea at a Starbucks which was close to where our van was parked. We brought our own Okashi snacks, and as those were not on the Starbucks menu, this review will not include them.

My other family members ordered coffee and tea that were also available at Starbucks in Taiwan, so this review will not include them either. However, I chose the Frappucino option that was not seen in Taiwan, and even was limited in the Japanese market. That was one of the best Frappucinos I had ever tasted.

The interior of this Starbucks was quite typical and clean. The outdoor area was very clean too. It was either due to its diligent staff, or just how much attention Japanese people paid to public cleanliness.

各地各所のスタバに頻繁に行きますが、栃木市で初めて不愉快になりました。後続車もいないドライブスルーでの出来事です。助手席に確認をしているだけの数秒も待てず、『どういったものをお捜しですかー』と面倒臭そうで、やる気のない話し方に、気を遣い、いつものオーダーに決め、会計案内されたので、クーポン券もあります、と伝えると、確認中の会計表示を消されたので、明細を確認すると、『もう金額は大丈夫ですから前へ進んで下さい！』と怠そうに言われてしまいました。あり得ない言葉遣いです。 クーポン券の消費目的ではありません。常連なら満額利用したいので金額によっては、支払い方法を変えるはずなのに、金額を教えないって、とても不思議。レジに行くと、顔が売りなのか、ツンとした化粧ばっちりの無愛想な女がムスっとしており、紙バッグへ入れてと頼むと、返事もせず、露骨に面倒臭そうな顔をし、待っている間、なんと！エプロンで手を拭きました！顔は綺麗なのに不潔な癖で幻滅し、何とも嫌な気分になりました。それどころか、まさかまさか受け取ったドリンクに口を近づけると、あろうことか大便の臭いがします。用をたして、石鹸で洗っていない臭いが蓋に移って匂うのです！あり得ない！嗚咽が出て、飲むどころではありませんでした。副店長が電話応対しましたが、電話を切ろうとしてるにも拘わらず、こちらから促さないと、謝る言葉すら出ず、真摯な対応ではありませんでした。無愛想なのは栃木市の土地柄でしょうか。 同日、某百貨店のケーキ店でもあやうくショーケースの縁に落ちたケーキを入れられそうになり、落ちたよね？と指摘したら『苺は転がりましたが床ではないので大丈夫です！』と言われましたが不潔に感じない...
