Thanks to my rare occasions as a Tokyo Olympics supporter, I had a permission for entering this Bazi-Koen, used as one of the Olympic's venues for horse ride competition. This venue is located in the middle of ordinary residences of Setagaya ward and the next of Tokyo agricultural university campus area. Originally this horse ride ground is run by JRA, Japan Racing Association. My first impression was how the big stadium is actually! Read moreBaji Koen - the horse park is just lovely. We have spent a lot of time there as a family over the years. Keep a look out for their events, they are well worth visiting. The park has changed a lot since the renovation for the 2020 Olympics, I think the lay out for families with young children is probably better. They have a very sweet playground and a lovely elevated pathway through the canopy of the trees and a little house shaped like a bee hive. I’m just really looking forward to when the trees mature a bit more and there is more shade...
Read moreI’ve ridden horses since I was 5 around the world and this is an amazing top class equestrian venue and talking to an event organizer they apparently have competitions almost every week. The challenge however is they aren’t advertised except at the park from what I could tell. There was top riders competition I really wanted to attend and I only found out because of a poster at the venue and by the time I tried to get tickets it was sold out.
