Senzokuike Park — Attraction in Tokyo

I love spending time walking and excercising at Senzokuike Park. About 1.2km's circumference and with good wide paths it is a popular place for people running and jogging. A number of Temples are also located in the park. The biggest attraction is if course the lake which contains an abundance of Koi Carp and Turtles and which also attract a large variety of Birds. A playground area for Kids also exists which contains a swing set and small play gym with slide as well as a dirt pit (like a sand pit only it's dirt! But kids have a great time playing in the dirt!!)... Oh, and the Senzikuike Library is also located inside the park area. Amenities outside the park unfortunately are lacking, a couple of small cafes, a moss burger and a Ramen shop & Yakitoriya exist next to the station but other than that there's not much else.

Throughout the year there are various festivals in the park.

Lastly, at 6:30am every morning the locals in the area gather to do 15mins of exercise with around 50-60 people usually in attendance. Free for anyone who is feeling energetic at that time of morning!

One of Ota City’s gems for short escape with family in all season, especially if you live nearby. Boat is my kid’s favorite attraction here. In the past, visitors could also feed turtles, ducks, or fishes, but it’s not allowed anymore now (or probably we didn’t notice the warning before?). There’s playground surrounded by cherry blossom trees in the spring. If the day is too hot, we can go inside Senzokuike Children’s Center or Senzokuike Library which is located in the same area. Cool park near the station with lot of things in such small place. It's including boats and ponds, shrines, seats near the pond and lot of nice green space and flowers plus fishes in the pond. You can enjoy walking, having snack or bring your children and family for a short picknick . There is some playground, posing locations for photography and resting area.
