A relstively central, and a relatively important Tokyo transfer line on especially Yamanote and Seibu Shinjuku lines, helping to connect many western suburds of Tokyo to the Narita International Airport. A clumsy, poorly designed amalgamation of platforms and facilities. 10 out of 10 for the name from children and the young at heart!

The JR home feels very narrow during rush hours. This is an important station as a transfer station on the Seibu Shinjuku Line. At the entrance of the men's toilet, I almost always get into a collision. I think you need a mirror to see if there are people going out when you go in, at a level where you can't see the inside. The fact that the Korona-ka is over and the number of people coming and going is increasing is that there seems to be demand if a clean pay toilet is installed outside the station. If possible, it would be better to move the platform to the Mejiro side and increase the number of entrances. 男子トイレの入り口でいつも衝突しそうになる。中が丸見えにならないレベルで、入っていく際に、出ていく人が居るかを確認する鏡が必要と思います。 西武新宿駅がJR新宿駅に対して利便性が上がらない限りは、この沿線は比較的安価な路線のままであろうと感じる。 コロナ禍が終わり、人の往来が増えて感じるのは、駅の外に綺麗な有料トイレを設置したら需要がありそうだということ。可能であるなら、目白側にホームを移動して、入り口を増やした方が良さそう。

The station is always crowded with students and office workers. Come on a Friday night then you'll see a lot of drunk college kids from a nearby university vomiting around. There are several good restaurants around so be sure to try them out!
