It's a huge park where you can hangout with your family and friends. It's crowded by the University students as there is Waseda University right beside the park. Toyama park is great place to run, do exercises or any activities. In most days, park is occupied by people until 21:00. It's a open park so people often use it for short cut way from Shin-Okubo to Takadanobaba or Meiji-dori. Public Toilets and drinking water is available like any other public parks. Read moreAs a "park" by my definition, it's nothing special really. A few trees and some grass. Benches around the side for the weary or the itinerant to rest, but nothing much for them to enjoy looking at. Kids play area seems ok. There's a tiny running track.
What I do like about it is the large poured-rubber surface that you'll often see people playing soccer or dancing on. Personally I like to go there to practice martial arts when the budojo in the sports center...
