Veseel Inn Takadanobaba (VIT) Japan Review
my family own hotels in indonesia so i came to certain expectations during my first visit to VIT& and hopefully can judging it with no biases . At first glance i saw that the access to hotel main entrance was through the elevator, which is not impressive but i thought that this is a much more secured and effective since it is located exactly at the busiest intersection. i still remember the feeling that during my 1st visit in japan to arrive in the station and looking at this hotel just across, is actually relieving. i am quite shocked with the smaller yet simple and effective main lobby accompanied with small restaurants, the female staff there are very friendly , helpful & professional and if you speak english to them, they generally knew exactly what you mean.
i loved that they have “all you can pick” amenities counter near the concierge, which are always a plus for me.
So i would expect that the room and hallway would be less impressive but upon entering the room , i am very surprised to see such spacious and nostalgic interior to it. the most visible part is the dining table with a sofa which certainly surprise me and my girl.
We are so blessed to have the window view facing the main busy intersection. i really like also that the room has its own a microwave, which are a double plus to me. as always, japanese based hotel chain have impressed me with their room amenities ( tea&coffee sachets, heater water, shampoo& soaps, etc) .
My take is that VIT’s biggest plus points are the room& the location, since you literally can go to the building across for a floor of an arcade, a gachapon store, a karaoke( one of the top three highlight of my 1st japan trip) . and just to give a bit of personal perspective i found all this in less than half a day so this hotel has some serious competitive location, there are multiple convenient stores nearby within around 500 meters radius which is aeon or family mart brand being the closest if i correct . So thats my review, i close it with this: if you are a person/ couple who are favoring hotel with great location and spacious room, this is for you.

Read moreI booked Vessel Inn Takadanobaba Ekimae mostly because of how close it was to the station, and honestly, it ended up being one of my favorite stays in Tokyo. It’s literally steps from the Tozai Line exit, which was a lifesaver after a long travel day. What really surprised me though was how many thoughtful little perks they packed into the experience — way more than I expected from a budget-friendly hotel.
At check-in, they offered a free alcoholic drink or a one-hour late checkout if I gave them my email. I went with the late checkout, and it ended up being the best call — having that extra hour to chill before leaving was perfect. The room itself was compact but super clean, and they made great use of the space. There was a proper humidifier, a nice desk setup, and even a TV with Netflix and YouTube already loaded in. It felt modern and simple without trying too hard.
The real highlight though? The breakfast buffet. I’d read a few reviews that mentioned it, but it still exceeded expectations. There was everything from grilled fish and miso soup to fresh pastries and good coffee. It’s absolutely worth trying at least once during your stay, but definitely go early — it fills up fast and feels way more relaxed if you beat the crowd. I went down just after it opened and didn’t have to wait for anything.
Another thing I appreciated was the laundry setup. The washing machines were completely free, and the dryers were only 100 yen per half hour. It made packing lighter a lot easier. There was also a little drink area in the lobby with coffee and soft drinks in the afternoon, which I didn’t know about until day two, but it was a nice place to sit and regroup before heading out.
If I had to pick at something, the room wasn’t totally soundproof. I could hear hallway noise now and then, but it didn’t bother me enough to impact sleep or anything like that.
If you’re planning to explore a lot and want a comfortable, convenient place to come back to that doesn’t feel like a cookie-cutter chain, this spot...
Read moreI've been to Tokyo multiple times and i can safely say this hotel is the best ive stayed in!
Location!!! a crossing away from the JR Takadanobaba Station directly above Takadanobaba Station on the metro donki is opposite multiple streets w plenty of food options
The hotel is situated so perfectly from the 2 train stations that there's minimal struggling with your heavy luggage (if any at all). Whatever direction you walk from the hotel, there's a whole stretch of things you can explore (eat, shop, entertainment). You have 7/11 and family mart nearby, Mcdonalds and yoshinoya as well. And right below the hotel there's a goods shop that closes at 11pm.
Service! Hotel staff were incredibly attentive and efficient. You get a welcome drink from the cafe and if you register as a member(for free) you get the option of 12pm check out or some drinks (1 alcohol+soda). Didn't need to do housekeeping so they provided fresh towels!
Rooms! Stayed in their nonsmoking dbl room and it's really so perfect for solo travellers. There's netflix and YouTube which you can connect to with your phone (amazing!!! Really such a delightful feature to have for a hotel). The wifi signal was strong and consistent (able to have videocalls with no lags). There's a microwave which adds to how convenient it is. They provide extra ammenities at the lobby as well! The space felt just right for 1 person. Though the pillow felt a little stiff but you can request for more if needed!
Laundry room! There's 2 dryers, 2 washers and 1 washer+dryer. There's the option to wash your clothes for free but you'd have to pay for the dryer. There's a notes changer as well so you don't have to struggle around trying to get 100yen coins. There's a vending machine, an ice machine and a water dispenser there too!
