The Capitol Hotel in Tokyo again exceeded all my expectations during my 6th stay this past Christmas. The staff was incredibly attentive and went out of their way to ensure a comfortable experience. The housekeeping team was accommodating and took care of every detail. They not only provided extra bottles of water and bath towels upon request, but they also went above and beyond by helping me set up a disc player so that I could watch my own movies from a USB device. Their willingness to accommodate my personal preferences truly made me feel at home. The concierge service was outstanding, providing prompt and exceptional assistance. In addition to offering fantastic restaurant recommendations, the concierge went the extra mile to make all my restaurant reservations pior to my check in date and even took the time to inquire about any food allergies or dietary restrictions I might have, ensuring a worry-free dining experience. And to top it all off, they even provided a printed summary of all my reservations coupled with maps and directions. All I can says is wow! The hotel's location is ideal and conveniently located directly above metro lines. This makes exploring Tokyo and getting around the city incredibly efficient by train or taxi. The rooms are very spacious, modern and extremely comfortable, with stunning views of the city. The bathrooms were large and inviting. The swimming pool was my favorite spot, with perfect water temperature and courteous staff. The pool attendant always handed me a towel and a bottle of water before each swim, adding an extra touch of thoughtfulness to the experience. In summary, thank you Mr Koji Shimura - the hotel manager, because of your leadership, the Capitol Hotel in Tokyo is a hidden gem that provides all guests with an extraordinary and memorable stay. I have been at your hotel for the last 10 years and plan to be there for the next 10. Sincerely Ming (Room 2512)

The hotel, formerly the legendary Hilton Tokyo which ceased operations in 2006, was taken over by Tokyu Hotels and redesigned by Kengo Kuma. It reopened under the Preferred brand. Drawing inspiration from the adjacent Hie-jinja Shrine, the hotel incorporates natural materials such as wood and stone, along with traditional Japanese architectural elements and wooden structures, creating a unique Japanese Zen aesthetic. ·Location Situated in Akasaka, with Hie-jinja Shrine on the left and the National Diet Building and Imperial Palace on the right. During my stay, I was fortunate to witness the Hie-jinja Shrine's annual procession. ·Rooms I stayed in the Premier King room, which is spacious at 65 square meters. The room design echoes the public areas, blending classic and modern elements. Wood is extensively used, and traditional Japanese gold leaf decorations, lacquer craftsmanship, paper arts, and textiles are incorporated into the details, adding a touch of luxury. The window design is particularly charming, using traditional sliding wooden panels instead of curtains, giving the room a unique atmosphere. The bedroom faces the window, offering views of Tokyo Skytree, the Imperial Palace, and the National Diet Building. With a slight turn, you can also capture the signature views of the Park Hyatt Tokyo. The entire Tokyo skyline is at your fingertips.

Everything is great about the hotel. Best hotel I have ever stayed. It’s better than the other global hotel groups. The room is very spacious, good views, nice hardware, very good amenities where they even have sample sized skin care for you! Nice looking pack of lollies on your arrival. The best part is their service! Top notch! House keeping is great. Very clean and tidy on your return every day even lined up your own amenities nicely in the bathroom and folded your clothes. I communicated with the concierge 3 months before my stay for booking restaurants. They were very helpful and even printed me the list of restaurants I booked with map and pictures of each restaurant on my arrival! They also allowed me to keep one suitcase with them for a week while I am away for a week. I returned for the second part of my Tokyo trip and my suitcase is already in my newly assigned room on my return.
