U.S. Air Base Yokota Japan — Attraction in Tokyo

This is a U.S. Air Force base. It is one of the most popular bases among U.S. soldiers. Except for special events, the number of people who can enter is limited. Nationals of China, Afghanistan, and other countries with poor or complicated relations with the U.S. are not allowed here, even during special events.

If you have a permitted nationality, you may enter on regular days with an escort from a U.S. soldier. There are restrictions on what can be purchased on the base due to customs and tariffs between Japan and the U.S. This is in addition to the restrictions on what can be allowed in Japan. At least in the food court of the BX, you can purchase goods without any problem.

2024年の友好祭に参加 牛浜駅から横田基地までは警察の誘導があります 去年に比べたらすいすいいけました 出店しているお店は去年と同じところ(外人バーガーなど)がいくつかありました 佐世保バーガー、横手そばなどもありました キャッシュレスが全然進んでおらずほぼ現金払いでした 去年はある程度PayPay使えたのに レートは1ドル140-200円くらいで、日本円でもアメリカドルでも支払いができるようです 飲み物はアメリカにしかない、スタバやコカコーラがあってアメリカ感があってよかったです まぁ、甘いものが多いので、日本茶がほしくなりますけと 18時以降は売り切れのお店もどんどんでてきてました 建物がないせいか風が強いと日中との寒暖差が激しいです 機内食を提供しているお店は美味しかったです だいたいの相場はジュース1缶300円くらい、1食1500円でした

I attended the Friendship Festival in 2024. From Ushihama Station to Yokota Air Base, there was police guidance. Compared to last year, it was much smoother to get there.

Several of the shops were the same as last year, including the foreign burger stands. They also had Sasebo burgers, Yokote soba, and more. However, cashless payment options were hardly available, and most transactions were cash-only. Last year, we could use PayPay to some extent.

The exchange rate was about 140-200 yen to 1 dollar, and you could pay in either Japanese yen or US dollars. They had drinks that you can only find in America, like Starbucks and Coca-Cola, which added to the American atmosphere.

However, with so many sweet options, I found myself craving Japanese tea. After 6 PM, many shops started selling out. Due to the lack of buildings, the wind made the temperature difference between day and night quite noticeable.

2024横田基地フレンドシップデーに夫と夫の友人と行きました。

基地とか自衛隊とか、あまり関心が無かったので、今回初めて参加したのですが、とっても楽しかったです♡

拝島駅からの入場列は混乱もなく、淡々と進み、ゲート入場もとてもスムーズでした。 （帰りには出口になるゲートからの入場でした）

事前に夫にこんなのあるよ！とオススメされて気になってた500gステーキの列にまず並び、20分ほどでゲット。別のお店でレモンスカッシュを買って、実食♡ めっちゃおいしー♡♡♡ スジはありますが、めっちゃ柔らかくて、ソースがアメリカンな感じで超おいしくて、パンも甘めで、ボリュームたっぷりなのに８割ひとりで食べちゃいました✨ 大満足！！

並び列がエグかった外人バーガーは日本のハンバーガーに慣れてるせいもあって、overcookedなパティとワイルドさに完敗でした🤣
