Toyama Port Observation Deck — Attraction in Toyama

On May 1st, we took our guests from Nagoya to Toyama Bay before heading to Tateyama. If we had been lucky, we might have seen the Tateyama Mountain Range, but unfortunately, it wasn’t visible that day. Later, however, we visited this observation tower, where we were able to enjoy a view of the city and even catch a faint glimpse of the mountains. Its nice place to see the port area. The histpry of russia and Toyama trade works are written in the top obaervatory. We can see all the old houses in the village mostly looks like a russian village. 正確な位置は不明だが、多分、富山港駅(旧国鉄の廃駅)跡地に建った展望台。 (富山の人はまだ記憶があるかもなのだが、敢えて説明。 現在の富山ライトレールの線路から、岩瀬西宮の交差点付近で分岐して港の岸壁沿いに線路があったらしい! 因みに、東岩瀬からも付近の工場まで引込線があった様です。 航空写真で見ると分岐ルートも良く判る。)

普通車、大型車用駐車場がそれぞれ有り展望台入り口迄はバリアフリー化されていたが、肝心の塔の入り口自体は階段であり、エレベーターも無く階段のみ。 展望台の形状は、金刀比羅社の常夜灯を模したデザイン。 1階には、トイレ有り、昔の岩瀬の地域図や歴史等表示され現在のグーグルマップ航空写真と比べると非常に興味深い!! 階段を登る(追い越しやすれ違いに注意!　壁が外から見たまんま斜めっているので肩をぶつけます。)とパノラマが!‼ 条件が良ければ、立山連峰や能登半島がくっきり見えるかも。 残念ながら、訪問時は…

岩瀬地域は、北前船で隆盛を極めた様ですが、北前船による物流は鉄道の普及に伴い衰退!‼ この頃、富岩運河新設、船便による物流のしやすさを武器に大手企業誘致。 その鉄道や運河による物流もモーターリゼージョン普及に伴い衰退!!! 深堀してみて云えるのは岩瀬地域は、産業物流の移り変わりの歴史をギュッと集約した地域の様です。

次は何が来るのでしょうか? 小型ドローン? 空を見上げると無数の数えきれないほどのドローン! ゾッとする未来ですな…
