Immaculately crafted art, made only with straw, simple dyes, rice glue, wooden spatulas, and precision blades. I've never seen so much love put into crafted art before. The fact that this art is kept alive within Kinosaki is also a beautiful tribute to tradition, while still making pieces that resonate with everyone. History and nature are depicted in stunning detail that one forgets to consider the artistic process, and loses themselves in the beauty of the pieces.

Make sure you do some straw craft yourself as it's cheap, harder than it looks and you get to take home a self made souvenir. The lovely woman is very kind in helping out, even without any English.
