Dai Kyokan Jigoku — Attraction in Unzen

The town is nice, tidy and lovely, instead of just rows of Onsen hotel, there are walking trails to see the steam holes. Also many hills nearby and allows for short hike (2hours). Nice for 1 day visit. There is a free foot onsen, many museums and visitors centre. Also many food options around the bus stop. A very pleasant visit and relaxing walk. The bus stop office has luggage storage for 100yen...

"The Screaming Hell" is located at the deepest point of the Unzen Jigoku Hot Spring Trail, where sulphuric gases constantly blows out from the rocks and sometimes produces noises as if someone screams.

Can access from the 50th Anniversary Square or Unzen Shinyu Onsen aera, where the latter is nearer to the location with a more gentle upslope walk.

八大地獄の一つの名を関するスポットで、雲仙温泉の中でも最も勢いよく湯気の立ち上っている場所であり、足場は湿っています。

ここが一番の見どころと言っても良いかもしれません。 だいたい滝を展望台から眺める時くらいほんのり濡れます。 涼しい季節だったので温風が気持ち良かったです。 自然の産物なので、時期、時間によって多少勢いが違うようです。
