Visited Lake Yamanakako and was absolutely blown away by the stunning scenery. The view of Mount Fuji across the lake is picture-perfect, especially with swans and ducks gliding peacefully across the water. The swans are surprisingly friendly and will come right up to you great for kids and photographers! You can buy feed for ¥200, which is a fun little activity, and there are swan paddle boats available for rent if you want to get out on the water.
That said, getting around can be a bit of a hassle, especially during peak tourist times. Parking is limited and scattered, so expect to circle around a bit or walk a good distance from where you park. The roads around the lake are narrow and can get congested, especially when tour buses are in the area. Signage for public parking isn’t always clear, and some lots fill up quickly.
