白鳥浜 — Attraction in Yamanakako

Visited Lake Yamanakako and was absolutely blown away by the stunning scenery. The view of Mount Fuji across the lake is picture-perfect, especially with swans and ducks gliding peacefully across the water. The swans are surprisingly friendly and will come right up to you great for kids and photographers! You can buy feed for ¥200, which is a fun little activity, and there are swan paddle boats available for rent if you want to get out on the water.

That said, getting around can be a bit of a hassle, especially during peak tourist times. Parking is limited and scattered, so expect to circle around a bit or walk a good distance from where you park. The roads around the lake are narrow and can get congested, especially when tour buses are in the area. Signage for public parking isn’t always clear, and some lots fill up quickly.

Despite the minor headaches with parking and crowds, the natural beauty and peaceful vibes make it worth the trip. Plan ahead if you’re coming on a weekend or during...

A perfect place to meet swans up close and had a stunning view of Mt. Fuji. Remember to bring some food to feed them. Once a swan was fed, a group would swim across the lake to reach you.

There were not many visitors at the time I visited in an early morning and a late afternoon. For the reversed Fujisan view, it is recommended to go when the wind subsides and the lake surface is calm.

I think this is the spot where the swans are being fed. Just happened to come across this while walking towards some restaurants. Not a lot of people usually come here. Got really lucky to see them up close and with a view of Fuji-san. The man who was feeding them was really kind to tell us to go closer to the swans, though we refused because we just wanted to admire them...
