My wife and I stayed here for three nights as part of a tour round Japan. The hotel was very quiet, we were the only ones in on the first night, but I have no idea why because it was one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. Room is spacious with traditional ryokan style where you sit on the floor, there are regular chairs as well, and the beds are made up at night on the floor. They are firm but I had good sleep so wasn't a problem for me. ||||Bathroom and toilet are small but in the mornings and evenings we went down for a bath and shower in the hot spring bath which was a perfect way to start and end the day. Hotel open areas have great views of Fuji in the morning if the sun shines on it, the photo I have tried to post is genuine taken by us from a balcony area. The staff we interacted with were all superb.||||As for the food, we stayed Dinner bed and breakfast and expected mass produced food. What we got was amongst the best food I have ever tasted, Michelin star level mix of Japanese French cooking. My wife is a vegetarian wih an allergy to fish. The chef made a huge amount of effort to ensure she got exactly the same standard as I got, asking what she liked and tailoring his dishes to suit. Breakfast was an amazing experience with three courses including a variety of sweet, savoury and fruit dishes, impossible to eat it all but each element was of the hugest standard.||||Overall if you are looking for a hotel with a view of Fuji come here and experience this wonderful hotel but make sure you take dinner here, we saw no local restaurants that could get within touching distance of this chef's creations. ||||WiFi existed in common areas but we. Brought on of the portable WiFi units that you need anyway as an overseas traveller toJapan and it worked fine...

Read moreMy wife and I spent the 4th nights of a 5-day 4-night Fuji 5 Lakes tour at Lakeside Kawaguchiko Sunnide Resort on 4/28, 2016. We booked this hotel for its 5-star rating in the TripAdvisor Users Review. ||||The location of the hotel is halfway up a hill and is not easily accessible. Fortunately, the hotel provides pick up service at the Hotel Mt. Fuji Entrance bus stop (35°25'33.9"N 138°50'57.0"E) ||||The staffs were very professional and helpful, even though their English were not fluent. We arrived ahead of schedule by bus in a rainy day. Though the help of online inquiry of Japanican booking website, the manager came down to pick us up in about 10 minutes. The service and collaboration of the Japanican booking service and the hotel were excellent. ||||We stayed at the Japanese-style Room with Lake Yamanakako View. The quest room is clean. However, the Lake Yamanakako View was only partially obstructed by trees. The view of Lake Yamanakako from the lobby was excellent. Mount Fuji could only be seen from the terrace outside the dining room.||||The hotel serves excellent, western style dinner and breakfast. After consecutive Japanese dishes in the first 3 days in this trip, my wife and I both enjoyed the Michelin grade...
