The best view of Mt Fuji in the 5-Lakes area is without a doubt from the Swan Boat on Yamanakako. If you're in the area with time enough to plan an early morning cruise on a windless clear sky day you're in for a treat. The Swan Boat itself is beautifully designed and well maintained with a clean wooden interior and brilliant white exterior. An early start will not only give you the best chance of good water conditions but also get you ahead of the tour bus groups that start arriving after 10am. i arrived in here around 10.50, and the next boat was on 11.00, but it was the small boat, not the swan boat. the swan boat will be on 13.00. maybe can check/call them for the schedule if really want ride on the swan boat. the boats operated every 30 mins and it’s 25 mins ride. even the small boat is not as comfortable as the swan boat, the view was amazing. so lucky that day was a clear sunny day, so can see the Mt.Fuji whole day. also that time i was there, not too many people. i think here is less touristy than...

Very cute ride in a gigantic swan as a boat. The ticket was 1100 ¥. The best view of Mt Fuji is from the lake on a boat and the captain gave us plenty of time and angles for pictures.
