Read moreOverall a great experience for those with kids who love Ampanman. My only complaint was that it was much too hot and humid on the 3rd floor (main museum area) which makes me also wonder if there is enough ventilation for COVID prevention.
Time recommendation 3rd floor (main "museum) - 1-2hrs including show 2nd floor (stroller parking and small gift shop) - 30 min (entry+exit) 1st floor (retail + food) 1-2hrs
The main entrance is up a ramp to the 2nd floor where you'll find checkin and stroller parking as you cannot take strollers, food, or drinks into the Museum. Stairs lead you up into the museum with the main stage and interactive exhibits. There are only about 10 exhibits, which were all quite simple, but kids seem to love them. Unfortunately the balls in the ball pit were removed for COVID safety. There's a water fountain play area outside during the summer, so bring a change of clothes.
The main stage performance was about 10 min and starts every 30 min. It can get pretty crowded but people are considerate about not standing, so it's easy to get a good view even from the back.
The 3rd floor exit leads back to the 2nd floor where there is a small gift shop with items exclusive to the Yokohama Museum.
Further on down to the 1st floor you'll find retail and food areas. This area does not require a ticket. The food is not very tasty and a little expensive but nothing compared to...
Read moreThe last time I visited the museum was 8 years ago... back then the ticket was expensive but it was worth it because there were 2 floors of Anpanman plus the character show... this time I left disappointed, only one floor of Anpanman and no there is nothing fun or pretty I felt cheated paying to only see a couple of things ... the show is the only thing that I rescue on the 2nd floor there is nothing and on the 1st floor it is all souvenirs, food court and others. I would not go again even if they invite me the tickets are 2400 yenes and if it is a holiday 2600 yenes it is a big scam to pay to see a flat where there is nothing spectacular and the space is smaller...very bad I hope they improve this place because the children go with great enthusiasm to see his favorite characters because it is a museum but it has nothing to do with a museum.... I feel scammed, cheated... think about it before you go, I don't recommend them because now, suddenly, later on they will improve it, I hope so... I'm sure that many felt the same way I did...It's my...
