Visiting it coincidentally while wandering around Yoshinoyama town. We could only visit and take pictures outside. However, it looked quite nice and impressive to us.

役行者に興味を持って色々と知るなかで奥駆旅行記という本を読んだことがある。たしか8泊9日の日程で大峰山を駆け巡る修験道の厳しい修行と知った。すごい修行があるものだと興奮させられた。 その山伏たちがこの東南院に集合し毎年７月に実施されるのだとか。なので東南院の門を潜ったときはなんだか「じーーん」とした。足に障害を持つ身としては山伏なんてできるはずもないが、東南院の空気に触れて気持ちだけはその気にさせていただけた。 懺悔懺悔六根清浄とね、、。 以前に金峯山寺にお参りした際に東南院を知らずに吉水神社に一直線、後に知った山伏の聖地だって事を、今回金峯山寺の秘仏公開にあわせてやってきたので、ひと目見たくてやってきました。うわーここが奥駆で有名な山伏達の聖地なんだと、、興奮しきりでした。
