Everything is perfect except for the female guard who loves to shout at tourists here. She asked me whether i switched off all the fan at the female prayer place. I said I did. Then after few minutes she went out and shout angrily and shamelessly she said I was lying. I told her there is another person at the corner of prayer place still there and she said OH NAK KATA SAYA MENIPU KE? I was so embarrassed with what happen and everyone were looking at us. I said again nicely yes there is a person before i went out and she still got mad and keep on shouting at me. People around me told me to ignore her maybe she is not in her right mind. Bear in mind it was 2 pm and lots of other people were there too to perform prayer. Perhaps it is other person who open it and are taking wudhu. After the incidents, i saw she actually was going to perform her prayer. My question is, if you saw other fan are not close (which definitely not my fault as I have checked) then why dont you just switch off the fan instead of making a scene? Its an ibadah place we all should take care of our manner here!

My husband went back inside and wanted to make a report about this female guard. Another uncle told my husband that he is mad too as the female guard shouted at his wife too over small matters.

I hope you take this action to this female guard here as she is definitely not fit with the role you...

Floating Mosque, Penang – A Unique Coastal Landmark

The Floating Mosque of Penang, or Masjid Terapung Tanjung Bungah, is a stunning coastal mosque located along the shores of Tanjung Bungah. Built after the 2004 tsunami, it stands gracefully over the water, giving the impression that it’s floating, especially during high tide.

Architecturally, it’s a beautiful blend of Middle Eastern and local Islamic styles, featuring a towering minaret, elegant domes, and intricate tile work. The mosque is not only a place of worship for Muslims but also a serene and scenic destination for tourists. The sound of waves beneath and the peaceful sea breeze make it a calming spot for reflection and relaxation.

Visitors are welcome to enter the mosque outside of prayer times, as long as they dress modestly. The views during sunset are especially breathtaking, with the golden sky reflecting off the sea and the mosque's white walls.

Located about 20 minutes from George Town, it’s easily accessible by car or public transport. Surrounding beaches and nearby food stalls offering local treats make it a perfect short stop.
