⭐ 1/5 – My first and definitely last time here. LOL.
Me and my friends came around 4pm. After ordering, the cashier told us the pizza would take about 45 minutes. We confirmed our order (spaghetti, pizza, fish & chips, 3 drinks, and cheesecake) and paid RM176 in total.
After waiting for about 20–30 minutes, only the drinks and cakes arrived. We didn’t mind at first, but by 5pm, still none of the main dishes were served. Meanwhile, tables who came just 1–2 minutes earlier had already finished their meals and even started a second round! 😤 We checked with the staff several times, but nothing happened.
Finally, my friend went to the cashier to ask, since it had already been over 45 minutes. At first, they didn’t even apologize — just started whispering among themselves. Then, they called my friend aside to “discuss” something… turns out our food was never cooked at all because their system “only printed half” of our order and the kitchen didn’t receive the main dishes order request. 💀
They offered either a refund or to wait another 30 minutes for the food. What a joke — we already waited for an hour! Their attitude wasn’t sincere at all, just repeating the same “our mistake, sorry, need 30 minutes or refund” line over and over. We didn’t even ask for compensation, just basic respect and honesty would’ve been enough.
In the end, we chose a refund. But even that took another 10 minutes — no one came, so we had to walk to the cashier ourselves. Then they said they couldn’t refund via card and could only do cash refunds, which made no sense since we paid by card. 🤦♀️ Where’s the service? After all that, the cashier suddenly offered us free ice cream as compensation. We rejected it — after everything, it just felt like they were trying to brush us off.
Honestly, I don’t understand how this place has a 4.8 rating. Maybe we were just unlucky, but this experience was really disappointing. They did give us a 10% discount, but seriously… who are you trying to fool with that?
Over and over, there are actually 2 crows flying around and close to us. The crows were trying to steal the leftover foods and eat, but the staff didn't care at all just leaves the leftover foods there and causing the crow...

We arrived on our trusty Brompton bicycles, initially encountering a slight hurdle with the resort's bicycle policy. However, we managed to fold our bikes and enter the restaurant, ready to enjoy the beautiful setting.
The restaurant itself was amazing! The view of the sea was breathtaking, and the staff were incredibly friendly. There was even a live duet singer, creating a cozy and Instagram-worthy ambiance.
We indulged in a variety of delicious dishes:
Squid Ink Tomyam Pasta: This was a standout dish, with Kitty raving about the delicious sauce. Pepperoni Pizza: A classic choice, and although I had a bit of a mishap with some cheese dropping on my cycling gear, a staff member noticed and thoughtfully provided additional serviettes. Thai Import Coconut Juice: A refreshing and perfect pick-me-up after our hot cycling adventure. BERRY-LICIOUS YAKULT: This was another delicious and refreshing drink that Kitty enjoyed. Biru Biru Lempeng: While I didn't personally try this, Kitty enjoyed it.
The service was exceptional, with one staff member going above and beyond to provide additional serviettes when I had a cheese mishap. This demonstrates their attentiveness and care for customers. Kitty also mentioned that she enjoyed the biru biru lempeng.
Overall Impression:
While we encountered a minor hiccup with the initial bicycle policy, the restaurant itself exceeded our expectations. The food was amazing, the drinks were refreshing, and the service was outstanding. Kitty also mentioned that all the staff were very friendly. We both agree that Biru Biru On The Island deserves a solid 5-star rating for its memorable dining experience. The beautiful sea view, the cozy atmosphere, and the exceptional service made for a truly...

Tucked in a vibrant corner of the city, Biru Biru Café offers more than just Instagram-worthy vibes—it delivers some seriously good food. I dropped by recently and tried three of their standout dishes: the lontong, creamy tomyam, and their much-talked-about Rempah Burger. Spoiler alert: they did not disappoint.
Lontong This traditional favorite came with a rich, coconut-y broth that was comforting without being too heavy. The rice cakes were soft and soaked up all that savory goodness. What really stood out was the balance—each bite had just the right hint of spice, and the vegetables still had a nice crunch. It felt like a warm hug in a bowl.
Creamy Tomyam Now this was a surprise. Creamy, spicy, and tangy in all the right ways. The tomyam had a nice kick but was mellowed out with a creamy twist that made it addictively slurpable. Seafood was fresh, and the portion generous. Definitely a must-try if you’re into Thai flavors with a twist.
Rempah Burger Hands down the star of the meal. The patty was juicy, well-seasoned with local spices, and packed a punch of flavor. It was sandwiched between soft buns with just the right amount of sauce and fresh greens. A clever blend of East-meets-West, and honestly, I could’ve eaten two.
Ambiance & Service Biru Biru has that laid-back, artsy vibe that makes you want to stay a little longer. The staff were friendly and quick to help out with recommendations. Everything came out hot and fresh, and the service was smooth despite a busy lunch crowd.
Final thoughts? Biru Biru Café is doing something special—serving up hearty, flavorful food with local soul and a modern twist. Whether you’re just popping in for a quick bite or settling in for a chill afternoon, it’s definitely...
