TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE.

DANGEROUS swimming pool, IRRESPONSIBLE boss (management), NO room services, POOR security and room door locks.

I would be that one customer who will be giving excellent rating/ recommending to friends IF ONLY an incident like this didn't happen to my brother and (as far as I know) 2 other younger kids.

So it goes like this:

I am really satisfied with the perfect interior design, friendly staff and especially, the (SEEMINGLY) nice and friendly boss, Dr C who goes around chatting with their customers. Everything is perfect on my first day here.

On the second day, we decided to go for a swim in the evening. Before that let me make it clear, there are TWO swimming pools in this resort.

We swam at the pool next to our room. We were all having fun until my brother suddenly came out of the pool with huge amount of blood gushing out of his toes. We found out that there's a really sharp, broken tile in the pool. I requested bandage from the reception counter and told them about the accident, and to close down the swimming pool.

Next morning, to our surprise, another bunch of kids were playing at the same pool with the broken tiles. There was NO warning sign, NO closing down, AND the guard on duty was warned by the hypocrite boss to NOT let other customers know about the accident. He even asked for our help to inform the kids in the pool.

The guard on duty, (the one who told us about 2 other younger boys with a much more serious wound from the same pool), even BEGGED us to not let anyone knows he is the one who talked about the 2 other accidents.

The management could've just closed down this pool, as there's another one in the resort. BUT, instead of solving the problem, the hypocrite boss Dr.C is finding faults on the guard that talked about the accident, and is going to reduce the salary of the guard once he finds out who is the one.

This angers me so much. We DID NOT ask for compensation, we DID NOT make a complain, that's because we understand that it's an accident. We only requested to close down the pool to avoid more injuries, and this is the way Dr.C chose to resolve the problem.

Even on the 4th day before we left the resort, there's still a new group of kids playing in the same pool. With the guard on duty looking at them helplessly.

FYI, my brother is one of the 3 victims who has the SMALLEST wound, and he had to get 9 STITCHES. Imagine how deep is the cut for the other two...

"Save your vacation and do not book this resort. "

The "resort" is not something you would want to plan your vacation at. Do not go by the YouTube videos or "Bali" vibes quotient online. The resort is a fade failure when it comes to expectations vs reality. Rooms - The rooms aren't anything worth calling a resort look. Smelly rooms, bad views, construction going around the place, bad beds and cleaning outside the room going on 247 which looks careless. They will check the room before you leave on your face and will not even allow shoes inside compound which is good if the compound was clean before midday. The view and the accomodities inside the room doesn't work either.

Service - The lady(ies) at the reception were rude to say the least. Careless and rude. Attending multiple customers at the counter as if it's a bus station. The card machine wasn't working at the reception. Noone made sure to make sure good rooms are available or let us see where the rooms are at the compound where heavy construction was going on. No help or walk over of the resort. They just used a normal map to tell us here are your rooms. It's a blah vibe if you are from the west and haven't seen something asian yet but it's oversold and overpriced to say the same if you have seen better things in life. The location is still far from batu firangi beach and too far from Georgetown where everything is actually. The water smells nearby and is not clean at all. The cleaners and the service is horrible even till 12. The checkout experience was as horrible as the checkin experience and wouldn't call this any star resort by any experience. The construction just makes it way too worse. Ruined our vacation.

Location - Stay in Georgetown guys. Much b etter, much better accessibility to everything, much better food and much less money. If you had to stay around batu firangi area, avoid this place at all cost unless you want to go in a dirty small swimming pool in a city famous for...

I paid rm400 plus for this stay and I felt the price did not match the experience at all. I had a very very high expectations on this place when I booked it, but was truly disappointed. Maybe it was my mistake to pick a place which was not suitable for us. I came here with my mother whom cannot keep climbing many stairs as she’s an arthritis patient. Since this was a Balinese style resort, there was many high stairs and high partitions to cross.

Room cleanliness was not satisfactory at all. Spider webs everywhere, dusty and toilet wasn’t as clean as it should be.

When we arrived at the reception, too many footwear’s scattered about with leaves and flower petals remnants. the whole reception looked super messy and unorganized. Like I said, I was expecting far more than this since we paid that amount.

Id like to mention a Special thanks to Jasvina (the girl at the receptionist) because she was happy to carry our bags to our rooms. We were given the room on 1st floor, hence there would be more stairs to climb with luggages if Jasvina didn’t help us.

Also for those whom are wondering, this place is not suitable you guys who are dependent on public transportations. You need to have your own vehicle Sbb there is literally no grab around!

A very big Thanks to Aunty Bonnie, she is part of the resorts management team and was kind enough to take us to places! She knows the whole area so well, we had amazing foods with great prices instead of splurging unnecessary amounts on expensive viral restaurants!

Pls note that this a genuine review on what I personally felt about the place. Different people may feel differently about it. This review is not meant to downgrade the place in anyway, but rather to help improvise on whatever which is felt necessary....

We stayed one night at this hotel (instead 4) , and unfortunately, it was the worst night of our entire trip to Malaysia. On paper, the place seemed promising: beautifully carved wooden decor, an immersive atmosphere, and a charming setting. But the reality of our room quickly ruined it. As soon as we arrived, we noticed poor cleanliness: there was dust everywhere, dust mites in the mattress (I’m allergic and quickly developed rashes on my arms — photos attached), and insects in the room, bathroom, and even in the bed sheets. We found several small bugs, both alive and dead, including ants, what looked like bed bugs, and tiny larvae. A very concerning hygiene issue. The staff told us we had the “best room”… which was on the ground floor, facing the pool, meaning no privacy at all unless you keep the curtains closed. There are no blackout blinds, so in the morning, sunlight pours in, and at night, the hallway light shines into the room through a window above the door, making it impossible to sleep properly. We had to sleep with the windows shut, even though it was hot, because leaving them open would expose us to everyone passing by. The bathroom was poorly insulated, and the toilet bowl was really dirty — something that should never happen, even in a 3-star hotel. To top it all off, there’s a school located right next to the so-called best room, so if you’re hoping for a relaxing swim, be aware you’ll be doing so to the sound of children playing nearby. We honestly don’t understand the positive reviews. Maybe we were just unlucky, but our experience was so unpleasant that we would never come back. This place could have been great with better maintenance and respect for basic hygiene and comfort standards.

We stayed at the Royal Maharaja suite for our mini babymoon and it was the best decision ever! The room was just at the name says, fit for a maharaja! It was spacious, clean and loved the interior design. It had breathtaking view of the sea. Infact, this room can accomodate 5 people. The best was the open concept bathtub and the couple bathroom with gave us an exotic, spicy vibe for me and hubby. The bed was overlooking the balcony and waking up with a view was just perfect. All facilities were there like a fridge, iron board, smart tv, water heater, etc Staying in this suite made me feel like being in a total different country. The kind of vibe i was looking for since i couldnt travel with my baby belly Booking this suite, we didnt go with much expectation but we realised the suite worth way more than the price we paid The whole surrounding area of the resort too gives a very Bali vibe, not just the room. You dont even have to leave the resort. The area is full of greeneries and they decorated the place with vibrant colours. Even on your worst days, you will feel happy with all the colours surrounding you. The pool was surrounded by flower trees and had a Morrocan feeling to it. Maharaja suite comes with a parking, thus i didnt have to worry about finding one. The staffs were very accomodative and friendly. Even the cleaners were constantly greating us This was my best staycation in Penang and we are definitely taking the maharaja suite again for a vacation with baby in the future. Recommended for anyone who wishes to come out of their city life to be close to nature and just chill. Best decision i made to stay here! And dont worry about food as they even have an aesthetic on the sea cafe in their resort!

We are so disappointed with the services. No more next time!! Why we choose this resort? My friend wanted to propose with her girl friend, and someone recommeded this resort for us, but end up with not that perfect. At first when we checked in, it was okay that they not able to trace the booking, but why they showed us their impatience?! If you dont like to serve others please dont involve yourself in services line (I got some info that she was new staff) . After that, we asked whether can move some furniture because we need to do decoration, then they said no problem if you all moved back after that, so we only started to move some furniture. Before that, we also informed that we got around 15ppl come, they also said no problem but half way a woman (mentioned she is the manager of this resort) came to our room with some negative emotions, she started to blame us that moving their furniture without their permission, at that time I was outside, I told her that we got permission from your staff in proper way, but she replied me in a very harsh way and said we were impolite. I was shocked, so what means impolite?! Then we said we will clean it before leave this room, please provide us the broom and some cleaning tools. But they still keep on saying that we didnt get their permission......The manager also kept mention our price so cheap ald, and the place is so nice, so what you want to day?! I am in service line as well, I know it is not easy to serve others, but before you involve yourself please consider it carefully. Lastly, cleanliness is not clean enough...
