I’d rate the service here, though the food wasn’t quite to my liking. We were looking forward to dining here as the post from Rednote looked macam yes (i.e., decent). The customer service was good—the aunty reserved a table for us and reassured us that we could still come even though it was close to closing time. (They shut at 9 PM; we called around 8:30 PM.)
We ordered baked crab, lala, and a coconut. The menu is fairly simple, offering various seafood like mussels, crab, clams, and siham, in the same baked style with salt and pepper. While some may enjoy this, I personally prefer more variety in flavors.
We were also told that white rice wasn’t available, only fried rice. The crab was RM130/kg (minimum order: 1KG), and the lala was around RM29.
The seafood didn’t have any 腥味 (fishy taste), which is great, but I found it lacked the natural 鲜甜 (sweet, fresh seafood flavor) I was hoping for. They do provide chili sauce, which adds a nice kick. However, we noticed some greyish liquid in a few of the clams, which was off-putting. If you enjoy crab roe, this place might be worth a visit —but since my taste buds don’t, we probably won’t...
Read moreFood is utterly disgusting as crab is not properly cleaned. The gills of the crab is not cleared out before cooking. Still have dirt on shell as well. It’s a family run place which is chaotic. Waited 20mins to order, end up they still can get the order wrong or forgot.
Asked for my ordered drinks 4 times and in the end still didn’t serve. It’s not like they have 100 or heck 50 tables. It’s not more than 10 tables dining at the time.
There’s a kid which was going around looking into diners shopping bags which really stunned me. He came to my table as well and wanted to take something out of my shopping bag! I managed to stop him Before he reached inside. The staff asked him to go back into the main entrance area but he came back in the next moment.
Food is horrible, service is really terrible too! Boss don’t seem to be keen to operate the business. When I asked the staff to pay the bill, I looked for 3 of them but no one bothered. In the end one of the other person came to the cashier. They’re lucky she appeared if not I would’ve just left without paying and idrc because I’m really really angry about the things I...
Read moreI’ve been to Crab Village around 6–7 times over the years, and every visit has been consistently enjoyable — but this is actually my first time writing a review here. Their baked crab is absolutely fresh, and the egg crab in particular is a must-try, full of flavor and cooked just right. Another favorite for me is their deep-fried small fish and kappa, both tasty and perfectly done, making them great side dishes to go along with the seafood.
Service has always been warm and attentive, and make sure you feel welcomed and comfortable. The atmosphere adds so much to the dining experience — with a relaxing and cosy seaside setting, it’s the perfect place to unwind while enjoying good food. It’s also pet-friendly, which makes it extra special for pet owners looking for a nice place to dine without leaving their furry friends behind.
Crab Village continues to be one of my top choices whenever I’m craving seafood, and I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys fresh, delicious crab in a peaceful seaside environment. Definitely...
