On 14 August 2020. my friends and I went to this restaurant for dinner. A total of 6 of us reached in front of the restaurant was thinking to drive in to park our car. Unfortunately, there is a car blocked at the entrance and a girl get down from the car and ignore us. We horned and she looked at us and don't even bother us. When we horn 2nd time, she asked us to park other place via using her body language without talk to us nicely that the entrance parking is for staff only.
When we get down from our car and walked into the restaurant, we knew that she is a staff there. A girl who with spec and long hair. She also taking care of taking customer temperature and make sure all customer scan MySejahtera QR Code. So, while we Q and waiting for our turn to do all this necessary step, for sure we need to wait at the Q and wait for our turn and she goes SCAN FIRST! I'm feeling to tell her that can't you see we are Q-ing and doing? You prefer people all go into it and do the scanning in the crowd without physical distance?
After all of this done, we walked in and looking for table. No staff will serve us looking for table. So, we just walked and ask a random staff can we sit outside which can see the seaview and enjoy the wind feel? The staff said can. But when we walk out, another staff told us, you all have to sit separate table. Inside all can sit together. At the end, we all have to walk back in.
The food is so-so and small portion for 6 pax. We ordered 5 dishes and we need to order extra add on. With this kind of service provided, Sorry, we definitely will not recommend...

A shoutout to Hedges Liang for his review on FB about Tsunami Village Cafe. My mum saw it and we went to try it with my uncle tonight. Firstly, parking is limited and you have to park on the main road. It’s close to the floating blue mosque.
A word of warning - the entrance doesn’t look very promising. In fact, you walk through what appears to be a mechanic’s shop but the big blue signs outside assure you that you have the right place. You then go through a large restaurant area where you can hear the kitchen hard at work
However, keep going and it opens out into a wonderful view of the sea and the mainland across the straits of Malacca. A wonderful place too to view the sunset and I’ve shared some photos. I’m normally all about the food but I do think the view at Tsunami makes it special
The menu is extensive and in fact reasonably priced. There is lots of fresh seafood. My favourite dishes were the baked crab, prawns in Assam curry and Teochew style steamed fish. In fact, all delicious and importantly for Malaysians to know, there’s a tap and soap to wash your hands after peeling the crabs
Only slightly odd thing is the name of the restaurant but it sparked a conversation about what we were all doing on Boxing Day 2004. Happily the thing making waves tonight was the great...
Read moreWalk through a fishing vessel repair yard, walled in by outboard motors, propellers and used engine oil in canisters. You will sit on a platform stretching out to the berthing beach of a dilapidated fishing village, struggling to preserve their heritage even before the tsunami. Time and tide continue to ebb away the sustenance of this community which local politicians understand too well that erecting an edifice here is the opiate to this simmering revolution mired in the slippery mud of destitution. Watch the shoreline dwellers compete with crows and cats scrounging for shellfish and shrimps, beating the scavengers buys another day in this paradise lost. The old lady guards her precious hoard of salted minnows baked in the sun as her invalid partner watches from their ramshackled abode, impervious now to the glorious setting sun which will certainly rise again at dawn even if they don't. At the workshop converted kitchen, you can choose your local catch of the day - red snapper, garoupa, pomfret. The small steamed red snapper (RM36), squid in salted egg yolk batter (RM24) and spring greens (RM12) were freshly cooked but with an over rendition of MSG. The Hokkien char mee (RM7) was a failed experiment drowned in...
