A hidden gem in Melaka! The World’s Bees Museum offers free entry and is a great stop if you’re curious about bees, honey, and natural remedies. You can taste different types of honey, each with its own unique flavor and health benefits. The staff are very informative and explain which honey is good for specific ailments — from sore throats to boosting immunity. There’s also a shop where you can buy pure, locally produced honey. The prices are fair, and the quality is excellent — you can really taste the difference. While the museum itself is small and simple, it’s a great educational experience for both kids and adults. Definitely worth a visit if you enjoy natural products or want to bring home something meaningful from Melaka.

Came here without any expectations as a lot of reviews said it was a small museum/honey retailer. Uncle Simon was our guide and he patiently walked us through the 2 different bee hives they have, explaining in details their different characteristics. Our kids are 3 and 5 and they enjoyed the mini tour, especially seeing an actual bee hive box in person and touching those stingless bees. They also got to taste honey from the bee hive box. I would recommend going first thing in the morning when the museum is empty so the guides can spend more time with you personally. When we are done with the bee museum, we went over to the Orang Asli Museum which was just next door.

The place was very small, there were a few infoboards and a few model displays on the different types of bee hives. Other than that, the majority of the area was for a counter to sell their honey. They do have a small area to try their honey (free flow, self service).

If one is looking to know about the varieties of honey, this is the place to visit. Frequently on weekend, shows on how the honey is harvested from the hives are demonstrated. On this occassion, being a weekday, me and 'memsahib' were lucky to be attended by the knowledgable Mr Koh, who took the time to give us a demo and tour of the harvesting facility. We got just the products that we wanted at reasonable costs. Thank...
