Have not been here for quite a while now. Did not have a good experience the last time I was here. Thought of giving it a go and happy to note that it was pleasant. Was here early just after it opened for dinner. There was a table that arrived before us. Order taken by a young man who was courteous and eager to offer recommendations.
Our order of butter milk mantis prawns was very good. The mantis prawns were crunchy and tasty while the butter milk sauce was very appetizing. The sweet & sour pork was also good and tasty. The pork was well marinated hence paired very well with the sweet & sour tomato based sauce. We waited for quite a while before our order of tauhu was served. It tasted really good with a good proportion of chinese mustard, cuttlefish, prawns to accompany the fried tauhu slices. The last to arrive was the roasted chicken after quite a wait. An order of half chicken entails a portion of the chicken served roasted (akin those roasted chicken at chicken rice stalls) while the breast meat was stirred fried with a Thai based sauce with lots of onions and cucumber. The roasted chicken was a let down as the skin did not have a crunch to it even as it was just roasted. The meat was a tad dry. I suspect the Chef may have fried it before serving. But the peripheral dish was very good and appetizing.
My last visit was marred by the service of a mid-aged lady. However, service this time was good albeit a tad challenging to get their attention in helping me topup my pot of chinese tea. Promptness of dishes served can also be improved as it was quite slow. Dread to think of the wait time when restaurant is full. Restaurant cleanliness is acceptable but the table cloth on our table have seen it's days given all the holes. Flies zapper was also something that the restaurant should invest in esp. in the air...
Read moreWe had a very unpleasant experience here. We ordered herbal tea, and it was served in a reused water bottle that had visible fungal growth around the tip and even inside the walls. When we pointed it out, the staff insisted it was just tea stain. Only after the owner came did they take the bottle away and offer to replace it, but by then we had lost confidence and switched to 100 Plus instead.
The owner never came out again, not even when we requested the bill. Later, we checked the Google reviews and saw that many others had raised the same issue about cleanliness. Sadly, our experience was no different.
Cleanliness and hygiene are very important, and I hope the management takes this seriously.
Food was expensive and not tasty. There is no option for 0, otherwise...

Located near a housing estate, parking is difficult (suggest you park at the roadside). We tried the Signature Tom Yum Prawns 🦐 (3 🌟) which was overcooked and the red Tom Yum tasted so so only. The steam fish with Ginger (3.5 🌟) was slightly better. Sweet and Sour Pork (3 🌟) was decent but it wasn't crispy enough. The best dish we had was the tofu with minced meat (4 🌟).. Very tasty. Oh please dun try the dessert here... The bird nest jelly tasted horrible (0 🌟) and the guai Leng goh was equally bad (1 🌟).
