I've been a regular I. lotus Wangsa Walk for many years even before Lotus took over Tesco. It's one of my fav Lotus around asia.today I am very disappointed with a cashier (pic as attached).
Chronology of event; I was queuing behind another customer and asked cashier how much is a shopping carrier bag. She ignored me on my first attempt. On my second attempt, she replied harshly, "you can't wait I am serving customer?" At my turn, she didn't even want to talk to me and didn't even ask if I need a carrier. Then I asked her, you haven't told me how much is the carrier bags. To my surprised, she answered me rudely, "you cannot wait is it? Not I dun want to sell you but I have customer in front." I ignored her temper then I asked again for the plastic version. Again, extremely rude tone, she said, "50cebts and she 'threw' the plastic bad to awards my direction'. There are many people who witness the incident. You may replay the CCTV.
I do understand during Ramadhan, some people may get tired and tend to get moody easily but this is not the way to treat customers.
In the first scenario, if the shopping bag is rm5, just answer 'RM5'..one word. Period. Instead, she uttered7words (you cannot wait I am serving customer? in the second scenario, throwing plastic back at customer is totally unacceptable and I seek apply from her. This is such an immature and unprofessional behaviour. Is this how lotus train their staff? We do t need to see moody face and character in Tesco. It'll ruin Tesco name.
I refused to buy anything from her and she rolled her eyes.

Read moreHorrible. Just save your time, money and go elsewhere. Ordering with Grab Mart is convenient for me. All I have to do is order and collect my item at the nearest supermarket after work on the way home. I’ve ordered a few times for collections at Lotus’s Wangsa Walk because it has the range of milk I prefer. However, there’s always an incident. The first, Lotus’s employee provide me with milk that was about to expire in a few days. If it was 1 bottle that’s fine but I ordered 5. Second incident, Lotus’s provided me with a carton milk instead of a bottled milk that I ordered because it was out of stock and they informed “it’s just the same”. It’s not. The third incident is when Lotus’s is out of stock of fresh milk but did not update in the app. I ordered 1 bottle of fresh milk and 4 lactose free.So I had to wait 20 mins just for the processing of cancellation in the app. Received a notification that the order was ready. Came to collect my order that was available just to find out that they didn’t know about any notification about ordered ready and by the time I arrive the 4 bottles of milk was now OUT OF STOCK! A waste of my time. And if you even think of ordering Lotus online to be delivered to your home expect half of the items in your list to be out of stock, another half that was suppose to arrive to be out of stock as well and expect the driver to me late and hour or two then...
Read more28 Jul 2023 I forgot how unpleasant this place is and stepped in to buy something. It feels l ilke Lotus is deliberately pissing off customers. Only one out of four self service counters opened. And the payment flow ie as in my earlier suggestions, is designed to make it difficult for people to pay.
25 Dec 2022 update- please ensure both payment counters are open during peak hours. Also pls make sure all self service counters are working. One or two self service counters have been out of service for years. I beg to differ that the staff are courteous; they are however, selectively courteous in certain circumstances maybe.
Old suggestions that Lotus's doesnt care: This plastic mini shelve, which for internal use, should not be installed strewn across the counter. It prevents the customer from having a proper landing area for goods payment. This also increases the customer's scanning cycle time. Think from the customer's perspective please, and remove this plastic away. Cleanliness of self service checkout area- staff should keep an eye on this- sometimes the area looks like a dump- wet, rubbish around. Cleanliness should be a priority too, for customers who like a cleaner place...
