Membership worst experience ! Joined the membership Rm99 annual fee , due to pandemic lock down haven’t went there for couple months. Only realize membership expired (no prior notice or reminder) when attempt to buy book today . Had a remaining rm50 in my account (my money) , attempt to restore my membership using the remaining balance and top up with cash. Not Allowed says the staff according to company policy , the rm50 needs to stays in the account , we cannot use it ( whether it’s for membership fee , buy books ) . This is absurd and unheard of ! If I had more than this amount balance in my account , I can’t use it to restore my membership either , I have to take out a fresh rm99 cash in hand to proceed the transactions. I can understand if not refunded in cash but not allowing customer which is their own money in their account to finish it off buying book or restore membership is just ridiculous and unethical ! Needless to say , never receive any sort of reminder when expiry date of membership is near nor any benefits at all joining the membership despite of 10-15 percent discount which really holds very little meaning because remember you have to pay rm99 per year plus a untouchable minimum rm50 in the account always. Unless you’re a frequent book buyer . The staff really needed to be trained properly to speak to client that had complaint issue in more polite manner , instead of stoping client sentences “No , cannot “ “No we don’t do that” in a harsh approach. Listen , here is a client wanted to restore membership , wanted to buy book , just had a meal at the store and records of showing client been buying books and yet your staff is showing impatient towards client ? Terrible experience , not that the rm50 is a lot of money but it is our money , it is clients money. You can’t just keep it forever in your own account...
Read moreBad experiment! Was wshopping in Pavi Bukit Jalil. So then I thought dropped by at Monalisa Bookstore for food and get some book. Well I’m hungry so planing to sit there first after done my food then only I starts my book journey but well, only by having my meal I already feel hot and I request to switched on the air cone. I already started to see the staff isn’t that happy for me requesting to turn on air cone.
But okay that was fine. Then after I done my meal then I decided to to go upstairs look for English books. But OMG UPSTAIRS HOT LIKE HELL MAN!! I totally don’t get it why is it that you want to open a store but not welcome? Aircone also cannot be turn on. Imaging if sitting there that hot who would want to stay there long ? And your food price it’s like expensive ! For this portions and this kind of food it’s expensive. For this Chicken Chop RM20? Seriously?
Coffee was ok. But the food itself like omg sucks… I will say overall it’s unpleasant experience entering this shop!!
So PLEASE PEOPLE GO TO THE BOOKSTORE INSIDE PAVILION BUKIT JALIL INSTEAD. Sorry lah cause this isn’t good experience since it’s my first...
Read morePersonal Thoughts on the café as I've paid a visit today by treating it as a place for weekend work.
Pros: Decent place with soft music playing (non-distracting for work). Coffee is fine, not really bad or good, acceptable. Staff are friendly and attended you right away when you come in. Cake was fine and fresh (ordered Black Forest Cake). High table with plug points to work with super cold air-cond. Toilet is Clean. Accessibility Friendly (Has an elevator).
Cons: Slightly Pricey on a coffee and cake (Appx Rm28). Don't have a Wi-Fi for customers. If you cared for books buy you're a 'Banana', its hard because 80% of books are Chinese. Water are not free and charged for RM2 per bottle (600ml plastic...
