I went because they were having a student promotion for IPTS and IPTA student just for RM 30. Which is an amazing thing because one student card allows up to 4 additional people.

The place allows you to rent swimwear and even have a shop to purchase things to elevate your waterpark experience. The locker rental cost about RM 50 and you will be refunded RM 20+ before you leave. You can fit about 2 backpacks in one locker.

The female toilet is very spacious and clean which is a plus plus, although they only have one hook behind the toilet door and only 2 benches for you to place your items.

Love the vibes of the place and the water slides especially. They even have a section where it is safe for kids to swim and ride down the slides. The wave doesn't happen continuously and depends on the DJ on when to start. The metre goes up to 1.7m

The reason why I'm giving it a 3 star is because;

The park doesn't reinforce guests to rinse before and after entering the pool, hence this can lead up to less then ideal waters.

The ground crew staff does not really communicate with the up crew staff in some rides. The ground staff won't alert the up staff that a guest has safely made their way down, in which the up staff kept sending guest down without waiting. This eventually led up to an incident where 2 different guest clash with each other on the ride down. Thankfully nothing happened to both of them but a serious injury could've happen.

Maybe some of the rides is under renovation, but the lazy river doesnt feel lazy at all. Underneath the hot sun, you are just stuck floating at one place for 10+ mins while the crew just sit and stare at you. At one point, one friend have to sacrifice themselves and pull their friend so that they started moving down the lazy river. Lazy river more like kerja river.

The stairs šŸ’€šŸ’€šŸ’€ You have to carry the pelampung up the stairs (Thank god they are lightweight). The stairs are made out of metal and when the sun hits it, you're no longer playing in a waterpark but the floor is lava. It's even sandy at some parts. So you have wet feet + hot surface + sand = u might need a foot spa after this. It's ok once you got up to the surface but imagining climbing 4+ flights of stairs just for a less than 2 min slide is kinda meh.

Overall had fun. Won't really comment on the food cause its ok too. Delicious when hungry. Maybe it's a new waterpark thats why there's still many room for improvement.

You also have to pay for parking. RM 6 for me....

the entrance and the lobby very impressive to me. However, i had bad experience with the staff -except for the front dest, front desk staff during my visit were all ok and fine, kinda helpful. ..my worst experience was with the event management (i was attending/arranging an event(teambuilding for a company) there)..the food was not enough when we complaint, no action until we went to the chef and the chef said they prepared 2 tray already...but where the other 1 tray goes????? why not served ? we didnt know who we wanted to believe the management or the chef .when i read the comment here yes now i believe most of people facing the same issue...the problem is the staff attitude and management not professional. I wish n I hope you all (every level of employee) can upgrade the quality to match the symbol of 5 STAR RESORT for you sustainability as well. small2 complain is very important to have a look and take it seriously. we have been in 3/4 star venue with much much much better attitude, behaviour, communication skills, customer service skills and better arrangement. make everyone feel worth every penny spent at your resort so that there will be more more people will come and the resort become famous for example like Rasa Sayang Resort, Double Tree ,Park Royal Penang,The Prestige and some other example of resorts that can be example ,some of them are old already but can be well maintained with good customer experience, good friendly staff. You guys have very big point to be compared to them such as water park and very beautiful n modern with Morrocco concept and built in the new city area which is not busy n crowded like them in the ferringhi area ...but the only thing is need to improve to sustain longer like them is 'CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE' not only those who stay there or water park customers but also be better to those training provider and event management company who were willing to choose your venue to suggest to their clients.hope my feedback will be taken seriously for your own good please check on your 'front liners " they are very important for the best experience customer ever had. all the best bertam souk team...hope to see you all again soon with upgraded...

I visited this theme park over the weekend (Saturday). The facility offers ample parking, with a daily charge of RM 6. Payment is accepted via Touch ’n Go card or debit/credit cards only.

Before reaching the ticketing counters, visitors must pass through a bag inspection, as outside food is prohibited (a standard policy among Malaysian theme parks.)

There are four ticket counters available, but only Counter 4 handles online ticket redemptions. Frankly, purchasing tickets on-site is far more convenient than the online process (a point that management should address.) Payment for tickets, food, and locker rentals is limited to e-wallets and cards.

The park features a variety of restaurants offering reasonably priced meals. Locker rentals are self-service, costing RM 20 per day. Renting requires entering your phone number and a color code to set a password.

The wave pool and adjacent children’s slides are the main attractions for kids. Waves are generated every two hours starting at 11:00 AM, with each session lasting 20 minutes. During my visit on October 26th, 2024, it was raining, which caused the wave pool to become slightly cloudy and a bit sandy.

Most of the larger and more thrilling slides require tube rentals. Children’s life jackets are available near the wave pool.

While there are plenty of seats, those suitable for families are quite limited. Arriving early is recommended to secure the best spots. Cabanas are available for rent, starting at RM 300 per day.

Only jerseys and lycra swimsuits are permitted in the park. Swim shirts and water-resistant phone pouches are available for purchase at the merchandise shop in front of ticketing counter. Fridge magnets are priced at RM 10.80, inclusive of an 8% SST.

During my visit, the restrooms were exceptionally clean, and there were plenty of shower facilities with good water pressure.

Please note that the theme park is closed...

A Day at Bertam Waterpark – Fun, Sweat, and a Little Bit of Laughter 🐣 We decided to check out Bertam Waterpark thanks to a Merdeka promo RM100 for 4 people. Sounds like a steal, right? Well... not entirely šŸ˜…. 🐣 Once inside, we realized there were quite a few add ons. Wanna try the flying fox? That’s RM10 per person per ride. If you go twice, you get a ā€œdiscountā€ at RM15 but the zipline is super short. Tube rental? RM20 with a RM10 deposit. Locker? RM22. So yeah, all those little extras start to add up fast. At least the sling shot ride was free! 🐣 Since we came during peak season, every single slide had looooong queues. Honestly, I felt like the number of slides wasn’t really enough to handle the crowd. We were only there for half a day, and we had already tried almost everything šŸ˜…. 🐣 Food wise, as expected from a theme park, the prices were on the high side. And no, you’re not allowed to bring your own food or drinks from outside. Also, there’s not much shade, so the heat really gets to you. My skin literally changed color from the sun hello, tan lines 😭. 🐣 One thing that kind of bummed me out was the attitude of the ride attendants. They didn’t seem very friendly. Maybe it’s the stress from managing big crowds, but still… a little smile doesn’t hurt, right? 🐣 Even though there weren’t tons of attractions, it was still a decent escape to blow off some steam. Just be prepared to do lots and I mean lots of stair climbing. My legs are still recovering šŸ˜‚. 🐣 The changing rooms and toilets were clean and there were plenty of them, but again, peak season means long waits. Oh, and can we please talk about the lack of hair dryers? That thing is a must have for us ladies after a shower. Total miss there.
