One of the best and the must visit place in KL. The best time to visit the temple is around 8:30 AM so that all the temples are open and the weather is good. There are multiple temples at the foothill like Lord Hanuman, Venkateswara temples etc... Once you reach the tall Murugan statue, you will find the steps uphill to reach the cave where main sanctum sanctorum is located. There are tons and tons of monkeys on the steps always looking for plastic bags and that is why avoid talking plastic bags with you as they try snatch them searching for food. The steps are very steep and I would suggest to take multiple breaks before reaching the peak. During morning time, the steps are covered in the shade of the hill making it easy to go uphill. Once you are inside the cave, you will come across few more steps to reach lord Murugan temple. The cave is naturally formed and very cold inside and with ample lighting. The place is very calm and quiet and you can spend some time inside the cave peacefully doing some meditation. I feel the positive vibes inside the cave and I strongly recommend not to miss visiting Batu Caves during...

No electric escalator to climb up. My mom is an old Lady and its really troublesome for her to climb to get a train.

Got one old man who sleeping in the bus stop area. He was there sleeping 24/7 and nobody taking care of him. He just waiting to die I think. Pity him.

All the ticket machine is out of order the only way for us to buy ticket is from the counter which depend on peak time this definitely taking time for us to buy a ticket.

KTM train is wonderful tho. Got aircond and everything is super comfortable to travel with. The parking lot should be just FOC but dont know who is the culprit they charging citizen to parking there. Such a stupid act. This parking issues really making the people how living at the end of road suffer from traffic jam since pick up/drop all happen on the main road. I wish someone will take action about this matter....

This tourist attraction is what you see what you get...We didn't climb up for the reason that all of us have arthritis to knees(Lol) plus the fact that short is not allowed we needed to buy scarf to cover our legs. Question is when you reach there then what? Majority of the people we asked said " Nothing Special" we decided to stayed at the ground for selfie pics. Around this place is dirty, stores are only for local Malay. Somewhat, this place is for religion activities the way I look at it.

Batu Caves is an iconic Kuala Lumpur landmark that's well worth a visit, and getting there is a breeze. Skip the hassle of parking and buses – the train is by far the easiest, cheapest, and most comfortable option. There's no entrance fee to the main cave and temple area, allowing you to donate as you wish. Remember to dress respectfully and adhere to the non-smoking policy during your visit. Before you leave, be sure to browse the surrounding shops for souvenirs to commemorate your trip!

This is a nearby station for Batu Caves. It’s terminal station so if a train were staying you can get in and wait in the car, haha. When I tried to buy a coin to return for KL central, all ticket machine were out of order. So I had to take in line to buy it at the counter. But no problem. I had a time for next departure. About 1 train every one hr. You can find a way to Batu caves easily because every body heads for same way! There are no waiting room. Just seats by the track. Enjoy!!
