Worst service I've ever had. The front of house staff asked us to come in. We sat for a while, no one served us until a customer already dining there indicated we'd been sitting a while and needed service. The guy came over didnt speak or smile, we ordered drinks and he walked away before we could order food. I got up to ask if we could order food but all the floor staff were talking and laughing in the kitchen for 5 minutes before anyone came out. When I asked one of them whether I could order food, she said she would come to my table to take the order. She then went and served the table next to us and walked away and never came back. When we went to pay the man at the counter looked at us blankly and said nothing, when we asked how much he just shrugged. He was not at all friendly or helpful. Not only was there no service, it seemed like they didn't like us being there. Plus the prices were really high a couple of drinks, if I could give it 0...
Read moreIt used to be my favourite breakfast place when I was working nearby. After more than 10 years I decided to pop in when I happen to be within the vicinity. Parking at RM 3. Plenty. The old shops have been turned down and rebuilt with newer structures. Instead of at the front the shop is now almost at the end. It is an air cond now as before only having fans. I ordered my favourite tosai, 2 pieces. the charted and crispiness is gone. However the small pieces have now increased to a huge price. I struggle to finish the 2 pieces. The gravy is the same but more watery. The teh tarik is normal. Even the vadai doesn't taste like before. Service is ok. When it's time to pay, the counter staff or owner only key into the calculator for the 2 tosai at RM 8 (4 per piece) and told me the total is RM 10. Wonder whether he thought I was a one off tourist? Not...
Read moreRandom choice while looking for a spot to eat in Batu Caves after prayers. We had a big group so this place was suitable as it had long tables. Service was friendly & attentive. Clean & bright. Prices are reasonable. It wasn't crowded during weekday lunch time.
We tried quite a few items. Their banana leaf meal, masala tosai, roti canai, carrot tomato uttapam & ghee tosai. They were all average at best. The highlight has to be their chutneys. Freshly made, thick & spicy. The sambar was a bit watered down.
Drinks we ordered their iced mooru, masala tea, bru coffee & fresh coconut. All of them were good. Complimentary water was a plus.
Overall an okay stop. Nothing special but good for...
