Terengganu Chinatown The best place to explore on foot is also Chinatown Terengganu where it is mainly one long street and very alive with activity in the mornings while the old pre-war architecture is a must for historical building enthusiast. Chinese temple Ho Ann Kiong (built 1801) and Tien Hou Kong (built 1896) and both of them have been well preserved serving the locals.

Beautiful little piece of history, located not far from the Kg Cina gateway. A sense of peace surrounds this temple while we walked around admiring the architecture and soaking in the history of the structure. It's free entrance, but do give some donation for the upkeep of this temple and have a small little bit of fun ringing the bell 3x after doing so.

A small Chinese Temple in Kuala Terengganu that we passed by towards ChinaTown. Looks like it was newly painted and quite colorful. Nice stop.

和安宫建立于1801年，是登嘉楼华人所建建造的。后来随着另一座道观天后宫的建立，和安宫的信徒逐渐减少，建筑也年久失修。1915年，登嘉楼唐人坡爆发了一场致命性流行病,一半人口因为感染流行病而去世。由于当时的医疗技术有限，所以人们到和安宫祈祷平安和健康，请求神灵宽恕和帮助他们治疗流行病。而信徒们则以修缮道观作为给神灵帮助治疗流行病的酬谢。镇上的居民在修复道观之后，流行病奇迹般地消失了。 2010年新年后的一周，一场大火烧毁和安宫的一半建筑物。在吸取了老一代人的教训后，新一代人立即筹集了一笔资金来修缮受损的和安宫。
