Woke just after dawn and walked from the hotel to this spot. The queue in the morning is real. 2 lines, one for dine in and the other for take away.

The hype is very real, one of the best Nasi Dagang I've ever had! Not sure why everyone's nuts over the ayam, because the ND Ikan is the winner, the ikan tongkol portion is generously big and so fresh, the kuah is so rich and flavourful that I had to ask for extras. Just be careful of the little bits of bones. One plate of ND Ikan is RM 6, and an extra bowl of the ikan+kuah was under RM 5.

The staffs are very friendly, efficient and helpful. The entire restaurant is clean, airy, bright and busy. It is common to share tables here. Asked for a kurang "lagi Kurang" manis teh tarik, and the server didn't disappoint.

Nasi Minyak Gulai Daging was delicious! And the keropok lekor was so yummy, we packed extra just to bring with us to snack along the way. The Nasi impit + kuah kacang is also another must try - they did the kuah kacang well in my opinion, not too sweet and not too spicy, the kacang still maintains its fine texture in the Kuah, making it a delight to just munch on it. The Laksam is also a must try! They made the Kuah puteh just right with the amount of richness in taste and consistency, made all the better since they use fresh ingredients.

NDAT also sells their own ready-made ND kuah in packets. Check out the shelf near the cashier to bring back a taste of Terengganu. Their own self-made lekor are also vacuum packed for visitors to bring home (cook on your own). All in all, it was well worth the early rise. Will definitely come back again, the queue does not intimidate us. There's a huge parking space where NDAT is, the gate is up in the early morning, so there's no charge for parking there during early...

Recommended by almost everyone. Queue is ridiculous during holidays. If you start queuing late, you might wait for an hour at least. Best bet is to get takeaways and eat someplace else.

This branch’s queue is not as long as the original branch at Kampung Atas Tol.

Service: we got takeaway, so it was swift once we made our order. No hassle at all apart from queuing since we got there fairly late (0900-ish), during a public holiday, and we were queuing for 30mins

Atmosphere: hustling with people queuing. Somewhat cute to see people’s excited face. Bear in mind some people will be recording TikTok or vlog videos, so if you’re wary of this, just hide your face or something.

Food: as good as hyped. I’d say it’s worth the queue. We both got Nasi Dagang. You can choose whatever protein you want, there are 3 options; fish (skipjack tuna [classic option]), egg, or spiced fried chicken. You can choose to combine proteins.

THICC gravy. Gravy got good amount of “kick” from the spice, but not overtly spicy. There are plenty of other options for the base as well. You can choose Nasi Kuning (yellow rice cooked with milk), Nasi Kunyit/Pulut Kuning (sticky rice cooked with coconut milk) or you can combine em all.

Portion wise, just nice, easy on the stomach, you won’t feel too full, and you definitely won’t leave hungry. But you might crave for more. Affordable. I will be back, probably.

TLDR: worth the queue. Tastes as good as...

at first when i see the LOOONG line waiting to order food , i sighed . cus im not keen to queue on a long line for food . BUT surprisingly , i dont feel like i wait for a long time ! eventho the line was long but it was fast :3 !! OH ! make sure you got your table first before queueing - so it's better if u come with friend / family .

they have seperated queue for dine in and take away which is good . when it's my turn to order , the staff was VERY NICE despite of the crowded atmosphere of the restaurant . she asked nicely , responded nicely to our questions and so on . good job staffs for that !

eventhough the place is kinda crowded with people , but once i ate my meal , i feel like i was in my own world . i dont feel that bothered by the noisy environment like i usually did . so that means , the meal is good !

the nasi dagang is delicious . well cooked ! idk how to describe but it's so good ! im not a fan of nasi dagang but came here cus my mum wants to , but i love it :3 !

the green tea hulk was so delicious as well :3 they also have tea hulk ( alah , teh susu ) . i think it must be delicious as well .

that's...

Marvellous food and vibe. Local food. Nasi dagang and nasi minyak for breakfast. Come early to avoid queue. Weekend might be long queue.
