Those bells man. They just don't stop. This church is there and it wants you to know that. No matter what time it is there's always a serve of the Lord that reverses his frustration hitting the humongous bells of the church in the name of who knows what. God wouldn't want His house to cast such a powerful and damned curse over His neighbours. Do you know what's a terrible time to ring a giant bell? 4:38 am. Or 5:24 am. Also 2:16 am is a very bad time. I'm sure the head priest knows that, but he does not care. I believe it is a sign that God has truly abandoned us, leaving His servants stranded in chaos and disrespect of the most basic decency towards the working class. I need to sleep, I gotta be at work tomorrow mister priest, I don't know if you understand...

Excellent atmosphere and peaceful place for prayer and also a historical Church also.

Very beautiful church in the middle of Birkirkara, and they also have a beautiful museum which has just been refurbished and reopened to the public. Church has free entrance, next the museum requires a ticket for entry. Check museum opening times. This church is worth viewing especially on Wednesday and Friday where there will also be the local street market, so a combination of 2 things in one. You can go there by bus...

Most amazing Basillica with very friendly and considerate volunteers onsite. The work to keep this basilica in such an excellent condition must require many hours of work. It was simply amazing, spiritually stirtingl and architecturally and artistically amazing. Most highly recommended. Also has small museum onsite but you will need to check with staff what days it is open.

Beautiful church. One of the locals informed me the ceiling was built in 1735, marble imported from Italy and gold threading imported from France. Each church represents that specific community in Malta. It's not central, but great for a raw, local experience.
