Westreme Battery, also known as ir-Rasus Battery or Mellieħa Right Battery, is a former artillery battery in Mellieħa, Malta. It was built by the Order of Saint John in 1715–1716 as one of a series of coastal fortifications around the coasts of the Maltese Islands.

Good small museum funded by donations with interesting exhibits on the past and present of tuna fishing in the area. It has been recently renovated and has a great mix of hands-on exhibits for kids and text signs and models for adults. Also you are allowed on the roof which provides great views of the bay. Well worth a visit!!

Małe 2-3 izbowe muzeum prezentujące historię morską okolicy. Bardzo dobrze zorganizowane tabilce, eksponaty. Ponadto darmowa luneta umożliwiająca prześledzenie wybrzeża. Wejście "co łaska". Samo miejsce bardzo historyczne - dawne fortyfikacje Baterii Westreme ( w większości zburzona) z początku XVIII wieku. Jest to miejsce początku inwazji Francuzów w trakcie inwazji na Maltę w 1798. Podczas II Wojny Światowej przebudowana i z tego okresu widać betonową platformę z niedostępnymi do zwiedzania pomieszczeniami (wnętrze widoczne przez otwory strzelnicze). Warte zobaczenia przy okazji pobytu na plaży lub zwiedzania Mellieĥa.

Walked past it this morning, would have loved to go in, however it is under construction. Enjoyed the outside with the views and the wind blowing and water splashing

Under renovation and closed currently. Looks promising if the construction work keeps at a good pace. Worth a visit if you’re going past but other not.

Restoration works in progress at the moment. But visited once when it was opened and it is like a fisherman's garage in Marsaxlokk

Es war nicht geöffnet und man hat den Eindruck, dass es für immer geschlossen ist. Ringsherum liegt Bauschutt und auf den Zettel mit den Öffnungszeiten ist kaum etwas zu entziffern!?
