This is a beautiful restaurant. The interior is welll decorated, tranquil ambiance and it has a beautiful terrace just on top of the beach. Beautiful views. The staff are all so polite and know proper waiting service which lacks nowadays unfortunately. A big welldone to all!! The menu is varied, a couple of starters, focaccias to share, main grills, pasta and fresh fish. The menu is well priced for the food you get. We started off with a nice Maltese focaccia. It is served on a wooden board and it is quite big. We enjoyed every bite. They asked politely if we are ready for the main course, and we asked them to give us sometime in between. This was really nice of them to ask, we did not feel rushed, we enjoyed our dinner. Our mian courses where linguini frutti di mare, the plate was beautifullly presented, and what a portion. Full of seafood and shells. It was a delish! My husband enjoyed his Pork Belly served on mash and vegetables. He loved the crackling top and the jus. He enjoyed dipping the hot bread they serve on the side. We finished our meal with a chocolate brownie served with ice cream. It was very rich, we loved every bite. We spent 90 euros for the food, a bottle of wine, a bottle of water and a coke zero including tips. I really recommend this place, even for a...
Read moreWe chose this restaurant based on the great reviews, hoping to enjoy a nice Niçoise salad and a seafood mixed grill. Unfortunately, the food was a big disappointment.
The tuna in both the salad and the main dish was completely overcooked — dry and nearly impossible to eat. The shrimp were burnt to the point where the meat was dry and stuck to the shells. As someone who has worked in restaurants, I was shocked that dishes in this condition were served. It felt like there was no respect for the guests at all.
We were very hungry and tried to make the best of it, but we ended up leaving half the food on the plate — it was just not edible.
The service, however, was excellent. The waitstaff were friendly and attentive throughout, and their kindness really stood out. Sadly, we were still charged full price: €28 for the burnt seafood and €16 for a salad with dry tuna. We were offered two espressos, which was a nice gesture, but it doesn’t make up for such poor food quality.
I feel sorry for the servers, who had to cover for the mistakes of the kitchen and...
Read moreWe had a fantastic meal last night at Ventuno. We arrived at about 7:45 pm and the bay was very busy with lots of people still on the beach and swimming, so I was worried that the restaurant would be full; but was pleasantly surprised to find it half full.
We were offered seats outside overlooking the beach.
The food was stunning: we had the bruschetta, the arancini and the surf and turf sliders and shared. My daughter had the beef pasta and loved it and my son had a pizza and again was lovely. Really nice music playing as the sun went down (although sun sets on the other side from the bay).
The waiters and waitresses were very polite and really looked after us whilst we were there.
Our bill (with drinks), came to about €90 but I was happy to leave a €20 tip as we’d had such a nice evening.
We’re thinking to return on our last night of holiday, although I’m not sure what to order as the food last night was so good that I’d be tempted to have it all again.
Very much recommended - thanks to the staff for your...
