It has a decent size, the exhibition is a bit 'old-fashioned' (text + artifacts), but the information is good and interesting with good timelines. It has a good mix of the various time periods (neolithic, Phoenicians, Romans, (a bit of) Arabs, and of course the Knights of St. John.) If you're interested in the history and cultures of Malta, I'd recommend it.

Small museum (they're apparently building a big new one nearby) with some interesting exhibits that were found around the island, from the stone age to the Romans and beyond. Admission is included in a 5 euro ticket that also covers four other little museums in the citadella.

It’s a rather smaller but informative museum. It only has two floors with small rooms. Although there was quite a bit on display, I feel like I was better informed at other museums. Still decent none the less.

Hats off to the staff at the Gozo Museum of Archeology and to the Admin staff at Heritage Malta Gozo. They are so knowledgeable and helpful. A memorable visit with future kindergarten educators from MCAST.

Enriquecedor.
