Very well done, well preserved and managed. Elevator works and great WCs right beside visitor center (and another by the big church, two on site, which is uncommon). The visitor center is 5E entry (not sure what's in there) but no charge to walk around the Citadella site, which is amazing. Views from stone walls are great. (You need good weather and no crowds to enjoy, we went in December 2022, cool, sunny, we were almost alone). Elevation is not so bad, stairs are in good shape (not busted up), the area actually looks renovated but still authentic (nice trick there).

Read moreCittadella was Amazing!!! We have visited different castles on this trip in different countries and this was the most complex. It walls and gates and one set walls higher than the next. Stairs and alleys that made you feel like you were in a Maze. Lots of ups and downs and some dead ends. This piece of land has been a defensive point for centuries and they have the Archeology finds to prove it. Most people can go through the castle property in a couple of hours. My wife and I spent over 5 hours and didn't see everything because many things onsite close at 1 pm (1300) on Sundays. Definitely worth the visit and pay the $5 Euro for the Museum Ticket because it gets you into all the Museums on the grounds. There is one house that is...
