Gran Castello Historic House — Attraction in Victoria

Bought the Cittadella Combo Ticket. €13 adults/ €9 seniors and students with proof of student ID / €7 children under 11. This price bought entrance to the Cittadella Visitor’s Center, Gozo Museum of Archaeology, The Old Prison, Gozo Nature Museum and the Gran Castello Historic House. All of these places were visited and the grounds were walked within a period of two and a half hours without any stops for bathroom, coffee or food. There are plenty of bathrooms and areas to eat, drink or snack.

The Gran Castello Historic House is a walk through of a life. There are bedrooms, kitchens, baby rooms, etc. if you enjoy period furniture and imagining the lives of the people before you, then you will enjoy this exhibit.

You must traverse steps. We went on an off season so there wasn’t that much traffic but during high tourist period I can imagine it would be more difficult to get past people in the hallways unless they restrict and control the number of visitors entering and exiting.

This old-house-now-museum spans across a number of floors (not suitable for disabled visitors) and a labyrinth of rooms. There wasn't a huge amount of information about the rooms and their uses in the museum. It took around 20 mins to traverse. It was free as part of the combined ticket (see below).

A labyrinthine old house in the fort, now signposted as "historic house". The upper floors mostly have exhibits of local arts and crafts (fishing and farming tools, textiles, musical instruments, hunting gear etc) while the lower floors are furnished to represent old bedrooms, a kitchen and so on.
