Not much to see (a couple of corridors and a few cells, plus a small cabinet of exhibits in the entry hall), but the medieval prisoners' graffiti (mostly ships carved into the stone walls) are interesting, and the stocks outside are a fun photo op. Admission is included in a 5 euro ticket that also covers four other little museums in the citadella.

I personally love in historical sites the « people like me lived here once » vibe. This is a place like this. What I loved about it is that you get to see all the graffiti’s that cellmates from the 19th century drew into the wall, that is pretty amazing if you are into this kind of things

A maze of old prison chambers. A quiet place as most on the island tour didn't seem to visit. The place was today sanitized, however in its use during the era it was likely very dirty. The graffiti on the walls was interesting.

This museum was included in the very advantageous and recommended thirty day Heritage Malta Multisite Pass. It was worth visiting while at the Citadel, with some interesting historical context and graffiti in the cell.

A bit dissapoining for a €5 entrance pp. It’s small, only a couple of cells to see. But inside on of the cells it gives you an impression of how an imprisonment would have been. Including wall drawings.

The old prison is located on the Gozo island , on the capital city Victoria, a huge buildin that can view at the whole island from its huge walls , the entrance to the prison is free.
