The Thursday night Art Crawl in San Jose del Cabo Mexico was very nice. We were told to go early but really there was no need to be early. The heat was overwhelming and we had to search for shade. Wine that goes along with the Art Crawl, is not served until later in the evening. I recommend not going until after 7 p.m. If you go early, make reservations at a nice restaurant like Jasmine's for dinner. You can't go wrong with this open-air restaurant. Outside of the restaurant, dancers performed in the street. It was beautiful. The artwork was very interesting. There were sculptures and there were all different types of paintings. The work was very beautiful. The plaza was great in the evening. There was a band playing and people selling ice cream and kids toys. It was nice to just sit on a bench and watch...
Read moreWe just took an Uber down and wandered around town. The Gallery district is amazing! Worth the visit. The art the shopping is wonderful! If you go during the day bring a little water! There are many restaurants to quench your thirst but having water handy is nice. It reached 90 for us and many of the places do not have air conditioning - just fans. Still wonderful but good to know so you can bring water and dress lightly. Oh there is a Japanese Michellen star restaurant, and many more crafted restaurants to explore! The church in town square is magical. It is situated where a small breeze comes in so a beautiful spiritual rest stop. We also found a cool lil Cuban cigar house. All of the district is full of art specialists in silver, leather, soaps, perfumes , and great decorations that have a...
Read moreWe went by recomebdation to the "Art District" , the place is nice but we visited some of the art stores and some of the things were not even from "Cabo" , i was expecting more handcrafts made by people from the region or at least buy it directly from the artists but that was completely the opposite. I came into a store that was full of merchandise from Tonala , Guadalajara , Jalisco, and basically it was 300% more expensive from the price at the origin place. In general i consider is expensive buying things here....Anyway is ok to go out and walk arround but in my case was not really amazing. If you come by car , parking is around $10 pesos per hour, locals let you park in their spots....
