I must have had the "B" team because none of wonderful experiences everyone is writing about happened to me. I was the only table present at 6pm when I walked in and the waiter informed me that there were no frozen drinks because the blender had broken, I ordered an orange water drink to be made while I looked at the menu. There were maybe 10 staff members visible, but they all looked inexperienced and clueless. After waiting a long while my drink finally arrived but it was a mojito without booze instead of what I ordered, so I just thought that instead of saying something I would just drink it. When asking about the dishes offered, the waiter said that the oyster appetizer and clam appetizer had hot chili oil and I asked how hot it was, and he said it had a bite. I decided to brave it and ordered 3 of each. For my main course, I ordered a shrimp and fish brochette. Tortilla chips and salsa were brought out while another table walked in about 5 minutes later. I waited and waited while employees wandered about, and in and out of the kitchen that had many people staffing it. Finally, the kitchen door opened and out emerged the food I had waited for...I THOUGHT... but instead the food went to the other table that arrived 20 minutes after me. I asked about it and was told not to worry because mine was coming out. Another 5 minutes passed and only the clams appeared. They were not hot in temperature and totally without any spice as I was told they would have. Again, I say nothing and I finished the clams, but then out comes 3 of the smallest oysters for the second part of my “Starters” which also turned out to have no taste and no spice. While I was finishing the tasteless appetizers a main course emerges out of the kitchen but again goes out to the table that arrived much later after me. I sat patiently but then another 30 minutes passed before I had enough and asked for the check because over an hour had passed without my main course arriving. As the check arrived to be paid, my brochette exited the kitchen, and the waiter had the nerve to ask, “Well do you still want this?” Terrible staff, Terrible food, and Terrible waste of time which resulted in me spending over 500 pesos for nothing but aggravation and still having to go to another restaurant to get a dinner. I asked the waiter as I got up to leave, "It’s been over an hour waiting on my food and you guys only had two tables. What will you do when you have the place full of customers?" He shrugged his shoulders in response. No answer.
I hope management reviews the staffing. In a first-rate town known for its food and service....
Read moreThe best oysters I've had in Baja! They were so incredibly fresh, and I love the variety you can get them in. The chili pecquin with Limon salsita that they have in the bottle is the perfect combination, my wife and I sat here for hours just devouring the food. The oysters are the best thing I recommend though their tacos are incredible too. For dessert try the "family cake". This place is so affordable for everything else around Baja and for the quality of the seafood- it really shocked me. Would definitely definitely recommend, and it won't burn as much a hole in your purse as any place else.
Staff was really good and attentive, location beautiful and outdoorsy and the price is affordable.
There's also a beautiful story to the origin of the name- the pirate Aguamala, someone took the time to explain that to us and that...

If you’re looking for a place that delivers not only on delicious food but also on expertly crafted adult beverages, look no further. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was warm, inviting, and just upscale enough to feel like a special night out.
The menu offered a great variety, and everything we tried was bursting with flavor—fresh ingredients, thoughtful seasoning, and beautiful presentation. But what truly elevated the experience was the drink menu. The cocktails were a revelation—balanced, creative, and not overly priced. I had the sangria which was as refreshing as it was potent.
Whether you’re in the mood for a relaxing happy hour or a full dinner with drinks that make you say “wow,” this place hits...
