I like the pabellon Mall because there are many stores there for American tastes such as Walmart, Radio Shack, GNC, Home Depots across the street, there's a Papa John's Pizza, Burger King, a place to exchange American money, Fitness Center, and of course many Mexican themed establishments. There is even an ATM machine in the bathroom which gives American money. Unfortunately they charge 10% fee for whatever money you require. So that's kind of expensive but if you want American dollars that is one place you can do it here in Rosarito. Be advised it charges you a 10% commission for whatever dollars you take out of it though. So if you took out $400 it would charge you $40 for that. Kind of exorbitant but many local banks will give you pesos at their ATM from your American account. It does the exchange rate for you. UPDATE: I have since found a bank in Rosarito that is convenient to me that does give USD, American dollars as well as National currency. It is HSBC bank atm, next to AutoZone in the Calimax shopping center just south of the road that goes to Pabellon Mall. What a relief to be able to get bucks before going...
Read moreThis is a very busy Shopping Center. The Walmart I would say is what Americans would call an anchor store and is busy and sometimes the lines are incorrigible. However, the center as a whole, is really quite delightful to walk through, Airy, open, well-lit, and an updated feel for the Rosarito Mexico area. The cinema is extremely inexpensive compared to American rates and I would suggest buying your tickets online and taking your paper in or your smart device with a barcode and you will have a very little wait. The Applebee's is very similar to that in America and so are the prices! There is a new Italian restaurant called Giuseppe's and is very good and excellent prices! Lots of parking but be wary if you go during movie times in the evening, the center of the shopping center tends to be very full and difficult to find parking. However the...
Read moreVery unreliable hours, people open when they want, so it can be 12 or 1 in the afternoon and more than half of the plaza is closed. New business opening up here but all the same things. BE CAREFUL WITH YOUR CAR! We stayed at the City Express Rosarito went to the beach came back parked our car, went in to the hotel dropped off stuff, went to Little Caesars (car still there), came back ate pizza in hotel room, came out 30 mins later to grab stuff from car and it was already gone. Hotel didn't care even though they tell you their parking area is safe and they have security guards, cameras "didn't work", Pabellon security said they couldn't do anything. Police didn't even show up after waiting for them 3 hrs I just got a ride to the station to...
