Provided all documentation only for my fiance to be denied for not having original copies of my previous divorce. Purely subjective decision on their part because the Consulate in Guadalajara understood the COVID situation AND accepted the same exact copies we gave the Consulate in JuƔrez when we applied for my daughter's CRBA. Not only that, but how can they not see that with a K1 fiance visa, we have 90 days to marry in the US. So OBVIOUSLY, we would need the original copies when we apply for a marriage licence. How apathetic could they be?? Especially for a fiance AND four-month-old daughter of a Combat Veteran trying to get this done before I lose my job with the Department of Veterans Affairs. I WILL NOT leave my family behind. I will lose my job, and all because of the subjectivity of the consulate employee over something so miniscule. This is bureaucracy at its worst. Shame on them.

If you are accompanying someone to the consulate, you will not be admitted into the consulate office. You are expected to wait outside, most likely in front of a nearby convenience store or under a bridge. The weather is unpredictable and it could rain or shine on you. I was unlucky and had a combination of both. Expect thousands of cars to transit on Victoria Blvd and to breath exhaust fumes for the duration of your wait. I don’t know about other wireless carriers but T-Mobile doesn’t work at all throughout the city. This made it an extreme challenging to communicate or even to use GPS throughout the city.

I’m writing this because I want to aware anyone who comes to this embassy. Be very careful and cautious because these people who work in Ciudad Juarez consulate will make up anything to not give you a visa. I’m a USA citizen I have two kids with my husband who is Mexican we came in for an interview on March 21 . And he was denied a visa at the moment because the affidavit we brought was not well prepared and in top of that they put public charge even worst . The lady who interviewed my husband was not clear and said he was just missing a letter from the sponsor the relationship between them. Not only that she was also taking about a new i601 waiver. Which We never understood why , so we sent The affidavit with the letter they were asking for , after that they said it was insufficient. And that they wanted a new sponsor. So we found a new sponsor we sent it out to them . They made us wait like two weeks for a response. And the response was you need a new waiver because your husband was in the US for more than 365 days. Are you serious ?? Doesn’t the i601A cover that . My husband did not lie no fraud medical exams were great. He answered all his questions correctly . These people are not only making the process longer but they are also violating US citizen rights and not caring about the extreme hardships of the citizens . We basically came here with a 1601A waiver and now they want us to do another waiver 1601. When I called to tell them they were wrong and that we allready had that waiver the lady who I spoke too said no you have the 1601A not the 1601. And I was this is a mistake because the only thing we were missing was an affidavit that is not a reason for another waiver . And she was like well that’s what the consul decided . These people don’t care I have been in Mexico for over two months and now I’m devasted I have to leave my husband behind. And leave with my two kids and take care of all the utilities in the US which my husband was doing . Honestly it’s going to take my family While to recuperate from all this trauma. These people are no joke they will make you go crazy. i just want to aware people to come very prepared with all your documents because one little thing missing and they will start talking to you about a new waiver. This needs to stop they are not following the United States Laws. By the way our lawyer says this is an injustice and it has been happening to a lot of people, just be careful . I would of never risked my family this way now we have to separate our family . Till we find a solution . But please guys come prepare to this embassy of ciudad JuĆ”rez . These people will...

Decided to write a review in hopes that it’ll help anyone in the future. I had a few appointments next to the consulate and there was always a large crowd of people standing around. When I saw these crowds I’m thinking wow I better get in line like 2-3 hours before so that I’m let in on time. I was told at Centro de Atención a Solicitantes building where my fingerprint appointment was that I should arrive at the consulate about 15-20 minutes before, when she states this I responded by asking but there is always a large crowd waiting outside? And she states mainly it’s family members who are waiting for their loved ones who are inside the building to come out. We’ll I took her advice and the next day when my appointment was at 1:00 I arrived about 20 minutes prior. Well I went to the guard and told him I have an appointment at 1 he said that in a few minutes he would make an announcement to the crowd and he would start letting us get in line to enter the building. So the guards make their announcement to get in line if you have a 1:00 Appt and to get the necessary documents ready in your hands to help facilitate the line moving efficiently. So the line is moving efficiently and once inside you go through metal detectors and that’s when the guard says ā€œyou can’t take your cellphone or apple watch insideā€ I’m like I don’t have anyone to leave it to he says I’m sorry I can’t let you in. I’m told to leave the building and since I’m there alone I had to look for someone who is trustworthy looking and asked if they would take care of my phone because I can’t be late. So there I am leaving my cellphone and watch to a stranger and head back inside. Long story short you can arrive 15-30 minutes prior to be let in, don’t take your cellphone with you because they won’t let you in with it, and for me I was here for about 1 hour and when I left the building the same stranger was there with my phone. Thank you for not taking off with it, honestly that person was God sent. The guards were friendly the building is clean and the lines are moving...

At the clinic, and finger prints : The staff is distant straight forward. Makes you feel not welcome . Maybe it was just with me .. have your paper work ready ! No electronics just yourself and the paper work . If you take children or other people they will not be able to be with you unless you need need help with something other then that they will have to stay outside .. at the clinic money wise depends if you need vaccines or and I believe the whole xrays and physical check up is $255 or so USA money ..plus how ever many vaccines you need . . The finger prints was pretty fast with appointment again no electronics or they need to be off . For the interview again do not take anything with you except your paper work passport... no water no electronics nothing else . Dress appropriate! Not like your going to a party !! I did see the ones dressed like going for a job interview were better greeted and what not .. at the end of the day its whatever you look best with or whatever your comfortable with ... remain calm at all times ! Breath . Then breath again . And breath again. be HONEST with your answers they already know your entire information no need to lie you will get denied right away ... and ..It's like the DMV everybody is listening... you can go early to your appointment the earlier you go the better the less people . Good luck ! May the Lord be...
