Update: per my review below I have updated my 2 star review to 5. A director reached out and not only explained to me the situation as well as acknowledging the need for change BUT also circled back several weeks later to confirm changes they have made to better communicate expectations to prevent experiences such as mine to occur! I am SO impressed with the integrity, commitment and follow through with this company and HIGHLY recommend supporting this business!!!!!
I gave an extra star, because the actual adventure was truly a thrill, but we had such a sour taste in our mouths before we even began that it deflated the whole experience for us.
Just as in previous reviews, we felt misled by this company. We put in our 30% deposit as required with our card without any indication that the remaining balance would need to be converted into pesos w/ quite an inflated peso rate. We showed up with such high anticipation and felt like it was a bit of a touristy trap 👎🏼.
I highly encourage this company to put on the reservations page that the remaining balance would be converted to pesos to avoid tourists feeling taken advantage of.. it really put a damper on the entire group and experience.
We didn’t feel encouraged by the manager who told us that he was okay if we didn’t ride with this company but also that we would have to reach out to the company to retrieve our deposit back. We felt like if we didn’t commit to our reservation, it would be a headache having to deal with getting our deposit back with already a bummer of a customer service.
Note: the actual jet skis and banana boat ride were enjoyable and for the most part, safe. Just please read this review and note that if booking online, you will need to pay the remaining at a disappointingly inflated peso rate IF you way with card. Otherwise, I HIGHLY encourage you to keep enough pesos on hand to pay in cash, as we regretfully did not.
Book them immediately—you won’t regret the fun + memories made. 👍🏽👍🏽And make sure you do read all the important info such as direction and payment info at the...
Read moreEverything about this was badly done.
First, when I reached out for info, two people pointed me to two different websites to register. When I tried to signup for parasailing at one of the sites the final step said it was for jetski, so I asked via WhatsApp if that’s what’s expected. I never got a reply, so we went to the San Francisco beach club.
At the beach club entrance, they require $20/person to get in and it took a lot of explaining for them to finally let us in, escorted, without paying since we were just doing parasailing.
At the activities counter, they told us they wouldn’t honor the online price that we had problems with / reached out about. Even worse. they marked it up by 10% for credit card. So what should have been $75/person online ended up being $97/person and easily could have been much more if they didn’t finally give in about the entrance fee.
They then informed me that, unless people were over 250 lbs, they needed to go in tandem, even though I could see other people doing it alone at that moment. Finally they let me know that I couldn’t go on the boat even though one of the two going was 17 years old. I couldn’t even pay to do it. So I couldn’t ensure their safety or take photos/videos and they were too far from shore the whole time to do so.
Throughout the process the people working there could not have cared less. We were a $ to them to maximize and...
Read moreI don't put review very often, but must post for this business. What I can say the people are very nice, the price is very good, one of the important things the jet ski was basically brand new with 20-30h on then, they let you go drive by yourself. And I must point the owner was recording us with a dron and i was expecting now they gonna aks like 80-100$ for video, but owner was so nice he just said "if you really liked and enjoyed the experience post a review so you can help our business" and he give us video anyway, and believe me there is a 10% people on cozumel that don't look just to take your money, so evrtyng on the end relly...
