MM ROYALE YACHTS — Attraction in Isla Mujeres

When booking our honeymoon in Playa Mujeres, we knew we wanted to book MM Royal Yachts after reading such amazing reviews about them. We booked the 5 hour premium package. The entire booking process was so easy, and Mark was so quick to reply to emails, answer all of our questions, and arrange everything we needed. (Pro-tip: we are from the US and when paying, the cost was shown in MXN. We were given the option to pay via PayPal, directly from our bank, or with a credit card. We got the fairest exchange rate using our credit card, just make sure you’re CC has no foreign transaction fees!) The day before our charter, I noticed that the weather didn’t look great, so I sent an email asking if we were still good for our trip. Luna immediately responded and told me that because the weather didn’t look great, and it may be too windy for snorkeling, we could switch our trip to the next day instead! She was so accommodating to ensure that our trip would be perfect. She even emailed me at 7:30am the morning of our trip confirming that the weather looked good!

Now on to our amazing charter! We were met at the dock by Karina, who said that she could tell we just got married based on our smiles, so sweet! We then met our fantastic crew, Captain Henry, Manny and Elias, who helped us on board, showed us the GORGEOUS boat, had champagne and flowers prepared for us, and made us mimosas! We set out to our first spot, and Manny and Elias pointed out all the turtles! We arrived at Playa Norte and hopped off the boat (with some delicious drinks!) and swam in the clearest, prettiest, blue water I have ever seen. After about an hour, it was back on the boat off to our next stop. We chatted with Manny and he gave us a little tour of the coast of Isla Mujeres as we rode by. We then stopped at this amazing reef for snorkeling and saw tons of beautiful fish! MM provided all the snorkeling equipment, and also gave us a hunk of bread to throw in the water to attract the fish. Manny dove down to the bottom and showed us a conch shell and starfish! We had so much fun exploring the reef and are so grateful we were able to reschedule our trip so we could snorkel. When back on the boat, the crew had prepared delicious guacamole and ceviche! We hit one more spot for some more swimming and then headed back to the marina. We laid out on the bow the whole ride back which was so beautiful and relaxing.

Captain Henry, Manny and Elias were so accommodating, took tons of pictures for us, played great music, made delicious food and drinks, and just overall showed us an excellent time! We would highly recommend MM Royal Yachts and will definitely be booking again next time we are...

Our trip with MM Royale Yachts was incredible. The booking process was super quick and seamless with Marc, who was always available to answer questions and make arrangements, even late into the evening. We used the transportation that Marc offered and that made the trip even more comfortable even if it was a little more money than a taxi. When we arrived at the dock, I wasn't sure how things were going to go having never gone on an excursion like this. Caesar and crew were there to greet us right away and get us ready for our voyage. They immediately put us at ease and got us ready to go, suggesting an itinerary for the day and adapting to our wishes ensuring a wonderful day. We started off snorkeling which was an incredible experience and we both felt at ease even in an uncomfortable environment. Caesar took great care of us in the water, making us feel comfortable and safe. We always felt very taken care of. The tacos were amazing and a great way to replenish ourselves after snorkeling. The drinks were amazing and always available whenever we felt like it. I can't say enough about the crew, always making us feel like we were at home and at ease, chatting us up and giving space for us to be just together in just the right amounts. The little extras like the champagne at the start, the go-pro pictures throughout the trip, Caesar providing really interesting info during the snorkel, and the ride around the lagoon area on Isla Mujeres just made the trip even that much more memorable and enjoyable. It was a perfect day and we can't wait to go again! We followed the many recommendations for MM Royale Yachts on a Facebook group dedicated to a resort on Playa Mujeres and I'm really happy we did that. I highly recommend going on a yacht tour with MM Royale Yachts! We had such a fun time yesterday, and even though the water was too rough for snorkeling, we still enjoyed ourselves. We stopped by the shipwreck so they could throw bananas in the water to bring fish to the surface for us. Then, at our request, they navigated around Isla Mujeres because we wanted to see as much as we could before we stopped at Playa Norte for ocean swimming and lunch. Our host Ruben was incredibly attentive and made sure that I felt safe getting in and out of the boat... I'm a little accident prone and showed him my giant bruise from biffing on the path to the beach at EPM earlier in the week. Sailor Elias & Captain Rafael were wonderful as well and took great care of us.

We opted for the chicken tacos, and they were able to accommodate my gluten free needs incredibly well. Elias made what is sincerely the best guacamole I've ever had!

Playa Norte is a fantastic stopping point because they will anchor the boat in a spot where you can touch bottom easily and walk in where it's even more shallow. It is protected from the wind and rough seas, so it was a popular spot on the day we went since all tour boats had to do something other than snorkeling. However, it was still amazing and worth it. The yacht also has a lilypad and you can float off the back of the boat if you want.

If you like knowing facts and history, Ruben is your guy. He regaled us with all sorts of knowledge and we learned quite a bit on our ride. He speaks excellent English and is honestly the perfect host. He was always asking if we needed more to drink or if we wanted different music. Really, he took incredible care of us.

Overall, this was an absolute highlight of our trip and I really can't wait to come...
