Caribbean Brisas — Restaurant in Isla Mujeres

What a hidden jewel!! We stumbled upon this place when another location we were headed to closed at 8p.

Parking area was a little tight but was nice to park off the road. Might be a challenge for groups larger that 5 or 6...perfect for small groups. The tuna was cooked to perfection and was a very generous portion. It has been prepared with a block olive infused olive oil which was out of this world. Others had the coconut and tempura shrimp. The shrimp were flipping huge!! Cost was super reasonable...approx $22 US Dollars for the tuna dish and a soda.

Live music was incredible and a lovely blend of what I might call calapyso jazz infused with Sinatra. Perfect sound with the meal.

This will be top of the list when I come back and will be the most recommended place when sharing...

One of my FAVORITE spots on Isla Mujeres for delicious local food that never disappoints. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner with a vast menu that always hits the spot.

For breakfast, the breakfast burrito (add beans), Chile relleno and eggs montulenos are perfect.

Staff is so very friendly and can help you with option anxiety from their delicious menu. Lots of seating.

For lunch or dinner, get the fish tacos and you won’t regret it. Arguably one of the BEST on the entire island.

The blackened grouper with cilantro cream sauce and fresh veggies is also one of the tastiest things you’ll eat on Isla Mujeres.

We were trying to go to mango cafe but it was closed for renovations. Tired and frustrated from waking we continued on a few more feet and stumbled on Caribbean Brisas. What a pleasant surprise! Everyone was instantly in a better mood when served the amazing bloody Mary's! Our waiter was super attentive and patient with our large group and separate checks and even let us pay with a credit card to save our cash. The food fell in line with the service, everything was excellent! If you want sweet, get the French toast, if you want savory I had the stuffed bell pepper and it was so yummy!
