The hike is beautiful and the views are amazing! All kinds of different animals and creatures. From cool birds to little River snakes. It only takes about 20 to 30 minutes to get to the first waterfall of Palo Maria. The only thing that I did not like was the fact that I could see all the pipes the resorts, hotels and condominiums around the area had sucking all the water from the waterfalls. And the ares were they throw there water waste was very visible. Over all the trip there is lots of fun.

Fun hike through the jungle. The trail is not marked well, but all you do is follow the River up until you hit the waterfall. Lots of scrambling around boulders and crossing the river. Water shoes and big spray recommended. The whole trail was 1.4 miles round trip and took us about an hour and 15 minutes.

Nice hike! The trail is just to the right of the dirt driveway, you do not need to go into the gate. Stay along the fence and then follow along the river to the water fall. Plan to walk in some water so wear sandals; although possible to stay dry with shoes, this would be difficult.

It was beautiful morning and we left with the help of local guide Tito from Garza Blanca on this intermediate level hike. It was about 160 meters ascend. It took about couple of hours to be back. I felt rejuvenated when I came back. My Fitbit stated I had climed 60 floors.. 😉

The greenery was lush and so many different bugs, flies, spiders were around in the area - don't feel thretened by this as It's their natural habitat. I picked up couple of empty plastic water bottle on the way up.. other than that it was prestine and challenging experience. Would recommend this to anyone regarding is in...
