Our tour of the Tehuacan Valley with Biofan was one of the best tours I’ve been on in my life.
Our guide, José Martin was friendly, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable about not just the flora and fauna, but the geology, history, and culture of the valley and region.
The cacti were incredible, the hike through the valley to see the fossils was special, and on our visit to the Elephant Foot Tree forest we learned to distinguish between antholes, scorpion holes, and the various other inhabitants of the dessert.
Lunch at Itandehui Flor de Salinas was also a delight—creative, gourmet food in a relaxed setting that matched any other meal we had in Mexico.
